My first ride was in a Orange 71, 4 speed. This was almost 30 years ago. The owner asked me if I wanted to take a ride and I said sure. We were going down a country 2 lane road shortly after a rain storm. Roads were damp. We were just about to pass a kid on a moped. He was in left lane going same direction as we were. He cut in front of us to turn right into a driveway. John cut the wheel to avoid him and we went into a ditch. Car rolled over one time and we came to a stop in a front yard. Totaled. Walked away with my elbow shredded from broken glass.

Shortly thereafter I bought my first 72. It rotted out from under me due to Cleveland winters. Have another 72 in the garage awaiting a V8. Just bought a Green 73. And to top it off I was driving to a job site and saw a white early Z sitting in the weeds. I will be going back next week to see if I can get it cheap.

2forty. where did you see the white one? I'm in no shape to try and get another Z but it'd be cool to check it out. I'm down the street in Chandler.
