It looks like most of our members are balanced between ownership of the 1971 and 1972 Zcar. Have you voted on this survey yet? Please vote even if you don't own a Z. We are all watching this survey with great interest!

You can vote on the main page. Surveys are located on the right side menu bar. You might need to scroll down to see the survey completely.

Things have changed! It now looks like '72 and '73 ownership is higher than anyone else. But, it looks like we've got a LOT of members that own cars between '71 and '73.

I've had my 1973 240Z for 33 years, purchased used in April 1974. It is my FIRST car. Mechanicals are mostly original with the exception of Weber carbs and Tokico shocks and springs. Heck, even the non-working air conditioner and smog pump are still in there. The exterior looks the same as it does when I modified it in 1978, including the wheels, flares and rectangular headlights, which were in vogue at that time. This car is very much a part of me. See pictures in Profile.

I have a 70 that has been waiting for a restore for too many years now, I got distracted by buying and dismantleing parts cars - need to refocus; and a 71 that a decision needs to be made whether to turn it into a daily driver or a parts car, it is on the edge.

Mines a 73 240Z with a 71 motor and carbs and the better of the 280 5 speeds. Was factory lime green in the process of being painted silver gray with a black stripe on the hood. 2.5 exhaust from header lowered with eibachs, tokico's panasports etc. etc.

We've loved our 1971 240Z for eons, and getting ready to sell our family treasure. Want to cast our vote that the '71 was the most vivacious and trend-setting but not without honorable mention with other family members. Clearly, if I didn't think so, wouldn't have spent two solid weeks fixing a driver's seat bottom to save/improve/enhance the original comfy-coziness of that kick-back reality. The website is not ready, but nonetheless, here's a link to the site that will be updated later this day with better pictures.

It's pretty darned tough to not love the Z!

":0) Somehow, the background and many of the comments etc., are wiped out due to background issues, but think you can see a few samplings of dedicated to the 1971 Z.

Whew! Tough to vote! When we see the beauties that you all have created in the Z arena, it's enough to stop someone cold! AWESOME!

Mine's a year ONE, build date 01/70, HLS30-00721. Still with the original block, but with a performance cam, headers, Mikunis, dropped suspension, quick steering, BRE remote filter w/oil cooler. 1" front sway bar, 3/4" rear sway bar, Tokiko Illuminas. Scary fast.
