It looks like most of our members are balanced between ownership of the 1971 and 1972 Zcar. Have you voted on this survey yet? Please vote even if you don't own a Z. We are all watching this survey with great interest!

You can vote on the main page. Surveys are located on the right side menu bar. You might need to scroll down to see the survey completely.

Things have changed! It now looks like '72 and '73 ownership is higher than anyone else. But, it looks like we've got a LOT of members that own cars between '71 and '73.

Did you find #215 in IL. I'm surprised it could survive in the salt belt.

"Survived" is relative. I did in fact find it on a side street with a for-sale sign on it here in Champaign. I bought it from Erich Scheeler (referred to on zhome.com: http://zhome.com/History/69ZArticle.html). He had the car "refreshed" in the early 90's, including a lot of rust repair, but between then and when I got it (2003), it lived outside and now has a lot of rust on it again. Right frame rail, drivers floor pan, and both rockers are the worst. It's currently pretty much dissasembled as I try to find time to work on replacing the rust areas (I haven't touched it in 2 years, but I hope to this summer), and hopefully put it back into more or less stock condition (first-500 style parts are pretty much unobtainable on my budget right now, even if you can find them...). In the mean time, I drive my '78 280Z to get my Z fix :).

2/71, 920 gold/black- although I thought it was orange (or butterscotch) for almost 30 years! Saw one in a parking lot NEW in 1973 and fell immediately in love, and it only took 25 years to find the perfect one. Completely original except for the 5-speed.

What beautiful sounds come from the tailpipe. Slowing for a red light, the burble is sheer music!

I have a 1973 3/73 to be exact, silver with wide fiberglass fenders black bre racing stripes, ztherapy 4 screws, euro balance tube, n36 intakes cut flush with holes filled all mirror polished, k and n air cleaners, crane cams xr3000,illumina shocks/struts,techno toy tuning t/c rods, billet front lower control arms, 1 1/4" sway front 1" back, 350z seats. The stereo is the exhaust

I'm not sure if i've posted my z before. Anyway i have a new operating system on my computer. i had to reset all my website info.

I own a 1/70 240z, HLS30-1651, L-28, R200, Royal Blue. It has less than 50,00 miles. I'm just finishing a 21/2 year resto.
