It looks like most of our members are balanced between ownership of the 1971 and 1972 Zcar. Have you voted on this survey yet? Please vote even if you don't own a Z. We are all watching this survey with great interest!

Things have changed! It now looks like '72 and '73 ownership is higher than anyone else. But, it looks like we've got a LOT of members that own cars between '71 and '73.

I have two, 1972 240ZG with triple webers, 5 speed and R200 LSD 4.37 gears made to look similar to Mr. K's car. The other is 1973 with a 3.1 stroker engine with triple Mikunis, 77 5 speed, R200 LSD with 4.37 gears, custom interior, 17x8, 17x10 CCW wheels. 4 wheel discs. Both with AC. The 72 looks stock and runs great. The 73 is a beast and is a blast to drive.

1972 240Z named "Smiling Jack."

Purchased a little over a year ago, came with a 5 spd., electronic ignition 280Z, I think), cross-drilled front rotors, non-stocks springs.

A week after I got it, I asked "Where have you been all my life, baby?"

After a year, I'm impressed with what a solid-arse car it is.

My only mod of note is a brutal lip spoiler: not even it's mother could love its face, but it keeps the front end down like glue.

Looking pretty good after 2 rounds of rubbing compound, polishing, and waxing.

Smiling Jack does not like Mustangs, other than 60s models. He just wants to run them down. I tell him, heh that's a GT or that's a Smega, they'll kick your butt. He doesn't care.;)

I picked up another Z. This one is a 74.5 260Z that will be raced in the 24 Hours of LeMons http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/. It isn't pretty and it didn't have a title, but it's underbody is very clean so it should be fairly easy to turn into a race car.

I guess I can update my info, now that I 'm tearing into and keeping it....

1) 70' 240Z ( Orangish Red, 8/70 HLS30-08077) Daily Driver (Just take a picture and quit staring, Damnit!!!)

2) 74' 260Z (Will be very Orange, 2/74 RLS-025342) Currently being rebuilt to MY liking, but you'll wanna take a picture when I'm done!!

3) 71' 240Z (Was yellow, was built in 12/70, was HLS30-12085) She was a beautiful, straight, minimal rust 240Z. Sold it to IANMONSTER for $1000 cause I felt bad for him, he tore it apart, modified the hell out of it then gave up and basically sold it for scrap, and did'nt even offer my any of the spare parts. RIP 'OL yeller
