Can you get Build Sheets?

Could you get a copy of the build sheet from Nissan for your Zed? It would tell you what options were on it, like electrical or emmisions, which can help in diagnosing wiring-related problemes, or it could help you figure out what the 'wqhatchamacallit' you saw is. Or it might help if there is any disagreement, like with emmisions.

That's what you get when you watch too many AMERICAN muscle-car shows, who tell you to go to the manufacturer to get your build sheet for your 1963 sportscar.

But just for kicks, who do you think I would want to contact to get that information, assuming it does exist?

thx

well if you want call i think it is still i800nissan1 or check nissan driven.com there is a customer service number that might help but I can tell you from expierence there is no such info as build sheets, there wasn't the options like muscle cars had, you know auto/ manual , 3 diffrent motor , 2 diffrent rear ends and assorts packages ralley street or strip like many gm, ford and mopar products had. There was no need. If you get more than a deer in the headlight sort of answer from nissan I would fall over, only thing I have ever gotten from them was "no" . And a few offers on my 240 if i drove it to the dealership. Good Luck

Thanks Chris-

That's what I had in mind. I've got a 3-ring binder with all the important documents (title, appraisal, tires receipts, alignment specs, etc.) in plastic sleeves. It would be good to collect all the original sales stuff as possible.

I've got another week before my holiday is over. Then, winter will still be around another three months, IMO.

thxZ

Does anyone REALLY think dealers keep stuff like that for 30 years? If they did, do you REALLY think they'd be willing to expend the time and effort to rummage through all of it to find something for someone who ISN"T buying something?

Does anyone even know if the "factory" (I just love that word!) even provided a "build sheet"? Remeber, Nissan isn't Chevrolet or Ford. They MAY (LOL) have done business in a different way.
