my doors open while driving

sounds funny, but it's hell!

I was going on this loop road that is a 55mph type deal and my door flew open! luckily it was a roomy one lane loop, and nobody was behind me, but that sucked. It now seems that on both doors, they will fly open in a turn if they are not locked. also, they need a bit of a push when locking them for the lock to work.

anybody have any wisdom they want to pass on down to this young'n?

You need to move the lock plate out a little bit so that the door catch seats correctly. Shouldn't take too much effort. Your door should close with little force.

Do you have a manual? If not then maybe a good idea to goto your library and get one out for a while.

I've had the same problem. Readjust your locking plates as 240znz stated and also lubricate your lock mechanisms; I use to have trouble closing the passenger door and it use to swing open randomly..... a few minor adjustments and a little lubrication solved the problem.

Problem. But my Zed would say "Get outttt"! Took it to the local Priest. Took care of that (ajusted lock plates like 240znz said). But the Father did bless her. Which did get the lights to work after dark. With burnt fuse box and NO FUSES! No F%$#^@G joking!!! This thread reminded me about the poor people that rode in her when she'd pop a door open ROFL . :devious:
