If you watch some of the shows you will see stickers and t shirts that say free jesse , from what I have heard it was a money laundering issue. But honestly not 100% sure , but watch the rock crawler episode you can see the shirts and stickers there. I was told by a friend who is into custom bikes and I was skeptical till I saw the shirts and such. :geek:

I saw the episode and noticed the shirts, but thought they were a joke thing related to his ancester the Original Jesse James.

Money Laundering, hummmm interesting. Usually that sort of thing is related to the drug trade in one way or another.

I searched quite a bit to see if anything was on the internet about it , I found a couple of sites mentioning some stuff <but there is plenty on the little green guys at roswell too >, but I really hope I am wrong , maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it on the thread . I would think it would be hard to keep that away from the media.

There are short green people in Roswell?

On the show he does appear to be a jerk sometimes but also seems cool and easy going at other times.

Since his daddy was a famous outlaw maybe those criminal tendencies are in his blood. LOL

After watching a couple episodes of American Hot Rod, I now know one person I'd never work for... Coddington... geez, what a jerk.

A guy I know used to work for him many years ago, now I know why he quit and came back home to VA. I don't know the whole story, but Boyd took all the credit for ZZTop's Cadzilla, which, according to what I've heard, he had very little if anything to do with the body design or hand crafting of the body on the car.

I talked to the drivers who were pulling the car around the country and stopping at truck stops for small shows and they all remembered Craig (the guy who lives here) and told me to tell him that they were telling everyone who asked who the "real" person was that designed and built the body of the car.

Boyd reminds me of a guy I worked for once for a very short time.. liked to remind people that he was the "king" and everyone else was easily replaceable.:finger::angry:

I hear ya Keith. I have only seen one episode and Boyd is a HUGE Pain-in-the-A$$ Jerk. Anyone who works for him deserves a medal for putting up with is Primadonna B.S.

Me and my business partner ordered a one off set of wheels from Coddington and we dealt with his son , and he was a great guy . But just from watching the shows I am would have to agree dad might not be my choice of bosses. Shame how money and a touch of fame sometimes brings out the less than great side of a person. :geek:

Hey did you guys see the Monster Garage, where they turned a Peterbuilt into a trike.

I was wondering if anyone had anymore info on the "Blastolene special" I have been to the web site but would like more on the build, apparently it took them a year to build.

I saw that episode. He was driving down the road with this huge peterbilt engine resting on only three wheels. They designed a side seat cockpit just to the left of the engine.

If I remember right he even raced another 18 wheeler behind his shop for fun.

I don't know how he gets away with driving some of these machines on the street without getting ticketed.
