I watched american hot rod for the first time the other night. I really did like the show. It was a lot like american chopper, but I will always love american chopper more. Anyways, there was some neat people in the american hot rod show, but like people have mentioned, I didn't like Boyds attitude. He was ungreatful. All he wants is that car to be finished. Maybe the show hasn't been on long enough(2 episodes) to tell, but what I love about american chopper is the hearts that the Tuddels have. I like the bikes they build too:classic: .

I enjoy American chopper. As a bike nut its fun seeing what can come from a endless bank account.

For American hot rod. I watched the first one and the 2nd one. The first one made me think it should have been called American Kit Car :sleepy: Atleast now they are going with a real car. I just wish they would make a show about the REAL people doing projects that are from the hart. Not this money is no object stuff.

Hell, Give me a key to bank of america, my own CNC metal shop, and a crew of people working for me and sure I could make some cool cars or bikes. Who here couldnt ?

I don't know. With the way Paul Sr. acts we all might get one of his size 12"s in that place. Hahahaha:stupid:.

The difference with american hot rod and chopper is that american chopper always has a theme to work with which is very unique to them. I highly doubt there will be any theme to american hot rod other than cool.

Seems that Jesse James has sold his soul to AutoZone. Speed TV is now plastered in AutoZone ads starring J.J.

I kinda had him pegged as a guy who expected more quality than what "I" find at AutoZone, and someone who would not pimp any old product that offered him money. Guess I was wrong on this. :(

I don't know that I would fault jesse for doing the autozone thing. At this point in his position with all the loot he is raking in from discovery and these commercials he can reapply those earnings into building his business even further.

I think I would do the same thing for sure. make your bucks early so in years to come his nestegg will allow him to choose his own path with whatever business goals are. I'd be looking at early retirement for sure the reep in the fruits of his labor.

FWIW anyway.....

With the income from West Coast Choppers, Discovery Channel, and the associated tie-in merchandise I believe that he's already well on the way to affording to do whatever he wants in a short time.

Still, to me, he didn't seem like the type that put money before personal integrity. Of course, some people actually shop at AutoZone, so maybe they do sell some things that aren't in the P.O.S. catagory. Oh yeah, they sell oil and other bottled chemicals. They probably can't f*ck that stuff up (unless they re-bottle it at 50% strength). :stupid:

I am not defending Jessy but I don't think he has anything to do with Orange C. C. As to what they do with Monster Garage creations. There was a Rod and Custom show here in Portland and there was the Jet powered Toyota. the Golf ball retrever and the trash compactor cars. I shure agree on Boyd C. Relly apairent that he is just the name on the door. Maybe in the past when he got started he was a hands on builder , but no longer.

It seems to me that anyone with a considerable amount of money does whatever just to get more, hell I know I would. Remember Michael Jordon's fruit of the loom commercials, your talking about a guy who doesn't even shop at stores where FotL is sold. On to where Jessie buys parts, I recall an episode of MG where they had to pick up some part and the auto store they went to to get it was AutoZone. Doesn't mean he always shops there but something from AutoZone has been on one of the Monster Garage cars.

One thing for sure is, all these shows have gotten our attention and do provide some real entertainment. OCC, Paul Sr., & the crew are definitely good entertainment. As far as way cool bikes go.........remember the bike build off between the old school southern hack guy and the guy from Arizona? The hack guy won! What a joke that was!!! Can you imagine building a bike with the exhaust running up your butt and not thinking it would burn your arse. Too many drugs maybe!!? My personal opinion is that the guy from Arizona has the coolest and most maticulous choppers around. I don't think I would trust my life to the southern hack guy.
