Mr Camouflage Posted January 30, 2004 Share #3 Posted January 30, 2004 That wont fit on a 240z without modifying your mounting brackets.unless you make some brackets to line up the 260z grill mounting holes to the 240z grill mounts on the chassis. The 260/280z ones bend up towards the sky.The 240z bend down towards the ground leaving about 2 inches between the mointing points
Z Kid Posted January 30, 2004 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2004 I think thats right, the picture of the grille is just upside down? the little daggy bit in the centre goes towards the bottom right?
v12horse Posted January 31, 2004 Share #5 Posted January 31, 2004 I thought that this grill would fit on 70-72 240z with no problem, but 73 and later had different bumper brackets that would not make the grill fit without modification. Did you buy this for your car Guus? These are nice grills. Very JDM.-Ben
seerex Posted January 31, 2004 Share #6 Posted January 31, 2004 I tried to order one from nissan , the guy I get most my nismo and z stuff through and he said no luck , Chloe has them huh :devious: gonna have to drop her a line
Z-point Posted January 31, 2004 Author Share #7 Posted January 31, 2004 If it does not fit my car, I modify it the same as I modified my Z. However, as most people said it will fit the 240 so we start from their. :cross-eye And if it does not have the ‘looks’ I’m selling it again. It isn’t ‘works’ but pretty cool. So are the Watanabe's!!!! they are at home wow!:classic:
v12horse Posted January 31, 2004 Share #8 Posted January 31, 2004 That is great Guus. I think you are really going to love those wheels. They will just look splended on your car. I think the grill will give your a car an older look to it. You will have to post some pics of your wheels. :classic: You, kytyler, alfadog, eric, and others that I didn't mention are sporting watanabe's. I want to join the club. Hehehehe. I think I have annoyed people so much because everyone knows that I am obsessed with those wheels. Anyways, I like how my car looks now, no complaints, but a good price on a set of 14 by 6.5j or 7j wats would be hard to pass. Take care and good luck with that grill.-Ben
