hi guys,

I have just put an l28 in to my 260, after pulling the old blown one out. So far so good right.

bought some extractors to fit on and then realised the delema.

the extractors and factory exhaust are the same size but I have no way of joining the two together once I bolt the extractors on. The extractors have been cut, it looks like. I thought about cutting the exhaust and then joing the two with a round bit of metal where the two would match up.

I dont have welding devices or angle grinders at my disposal. Any ideas? hacksaw?

thanks

I assume you are going to have to cut a fair bit off the old exhaust anyhow to get them to the right level as to where the extractors end, after that you can buy a joiner from the muffler shops that doesnt require any welding, or you can drive it down with the exhaust open and get them to weld it all up, noisy but possibly the simplest way to go.

O man. Grnskyline, drive to the muffler shop with the exhaust open :devious: :devious: :devious: :devious: :devious: :devious: Then let them weld it up nice and tight. But drive it that way just for the fun of it! If you never heard a Z with only the exhaust manifold on,,,,,, O man your missing out!!!!! I left My Entire exhaust off for three months, except for the Exhaust manifold. She would shoot flames out the end of the collector that you could light a Cigar up with ( blue, orange, yellow, all the colors of the rainbow, very beautiful thing to behold :D . :devious:
