Original 1971 240Z race car. Manufactured in very late 1970 or early 1971. First owned and raced in IMSA GTU, SCCA, Midwest Council through the 70's by Jack Buchinger. Never driven on the street. He took the car to the SCCA Runoffs in 1978/79. Jack raced the car with the classic 240Z drivers like Blackburn, Sharp, Fitzgerald, Newman and others. He sold the car to Larry Landrum who raced it in the 1980's. I purchased the car in 1990 and raced it in SCCA GT2 (the CP class was long gone by then) and vintage. In the last five years the car has gone through a rotisserie restoration (media blasted inside and out down to bare metal), with fresh fiberglass, new Wilwood rotors and calipers, new shocks/inserts, new lexan front and rear, finished in its original race livery, dyno-time only 2800cc race engine (ATI damper, ARP bolts, aluminum flywheel, QuarterMaster clutch, Datsun comp oil pump, water pump pulley, oil pan, and so on). The chassis, electronics and engine were originally prepared for Jack by three of the soon-to-be-disbanding BRE crew members. The cage, dash, gauges are from original race prep. I'll fill in more details, including VIN#, in the future.
