'72 radio - *need help!!*

Huh? say what now? I think by that you mean the raised edge around the radio band display. I dont know but maybe someone else can help out.

All the raised surfaces should be painted in chrome gloss silver. Clean the plate with soap and a tooth brush. Wipe the surface to be painted with 0000 steel wool. "Print" the raised edges on a flat metal block or a piece of glass with paint on it. Try to get the paint on the flat surface to be uniform and flat as well. Spray paint works best. Be careful with solvents on the black plastic. After you are finished, soak some quality vinyl dressing on the face.

Thanks, 26TH Z. I take it then that all raised edges in the interior (around the defroster switch, around the outside of the console, etc) are painted silver then for consistency? I'm only asking because all mine are faded, I can tell it WAS once painted, but most of it is faded off.
