Question, were the hood vents painted the same color as the car from the factory? Both my 280Z's had black vents. One Z was gold (yuck) and one was blue. I've always loved those hubcaps.

My hood vents were and are black on a blue (code 510) car. I have seen other cars with the same color w/matching color vents. I wonder if hood vent color was just another one of those seemingly random things.
