Some interesting non-factory variation on this engine (?):

S20 factory block paint colour was silver, and engine mounts were painted gloss black with no plating or primer underneath. Three block coolant drain plugs on exhaust side were originally zinc or cadmium plated with gold-passivated finish. Water-pump to head gallery casting hose was typical fabric-covered rubber with wire-type hose clamps.

Yes this color finish is not original.Moroe- san has a strong polcy for this black paint.It is dualable so much he said.And plated engine mounts,not only these Moroe-san love to aplpy plating because it is dualable too.Good for preventing rust.

I wish this water side hose become braided,Moroe-san has huse collection of early parts so I think he does.
