I have two of them (both '86 hardtops--twins). I would be sure that the timing belt service has been done at some point. tomwas Free Member February 8, 200718 yr comment_13021 Share this post Yes, The belt was just done at the end of 05, actually for the 1st time. He brought it to a Znut tech in the area and had it done. He said the original belt was still in good condition, no cracks or anything, just a little stretched. That's one heckofa life span for a belt. Gave me many other maint rcpts with the car. It looks, sounds and runs beautifully. Looked thru your gallery, you've got some nice collection there. Do you own a warehouse for storage or what. I posted in the fall that i was looking at a 78 Z w/80k miles on it, that one ran terribly and turned me right off. Have been looking since from Albany to NYC and the internet etc. After all that traveling and hunting around this one came up in a local for sale publication. I was the 1st to call, show up and drive it. My heart raced when i pulled in the driveway and saw it. Advertised for a resonable price i even got it for $300 less due to having the cash in hand.... About a month and a half ago i bought an 89 2 seater w/181k on it for $600. starts right up but runs like crap, needs work and now trying to sell it for what i paid for it... No garage and my driveway is now filled with our 2 Volvos and my 2 Z's Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/gallery/image/20851-my-new-zx/#findComment-13021 Share on other sites
