yah but there is no comparison , they cannot improve on the best ! I love it , there is no comparrison in the true grace or the origional. No matter how hard they try.

I have to agree. The early Z body style 70-78 is what sets it apart. Don't get me wrong. Nissan has taken the Z to another level. I would luv to have both at the same time as well......

Just so you know, I've owned both these Z's for a fair amount of time now and I have to tell you that despite all the hype on the new Z, the old 73' is just as much fun to drive. On a practical level, it also makes much better use of space on the inside. I can fit (10) 2x4x8' pieces of lumber in the old Z and still close the hatch. I doubt if I could get one inside the new Z - not that I want to use the new Z as a utility vehicle. It has a massive rear strut tower brace that greatly reduces storage capacity. Your lucky if you can fit a suitcase inside the rear hatch as opposed to the old one where I can fit loads of stuff. The new Z is great in terms of being relatively quiet, not smelling like gas inside, incredible cornering ability, great brakes, and relatively fast. The sound system is awesome too!
