did you do anything special to clean the engine block faces before you painted it? I'm concerned about poor paint adhesion on mine as the block is very dirty and oily

Mounted up and running strong! Still a few details to work out; but runs good, sounds good, feels good on the initial pulls. Super happy it worked out!
