I hope you got the blaster working fine. BUt actually if you've got a box and lots of air compressor power you could go with a siphon blaster for the hood. Maybe less trouble than the pressure blaster.

I changed to glass bead and it works great. In the pic you can see the old freezer I reengineered into a blast cabinet. Works great except I can't see much because of the dust.
