It looks like you have put some kind of seal between the body and the fender flare? Just out of curiosity what is it? and why did you do it, what was wrong with just bolting/riveting them straight to the car?

The fiberglass flares are not perfect, and therefore some gaps exist. From my understanding, here in the States, all of the flares come from the same place...

I used very pliable channel rubber, from a commercial rubber distributor. It's very similar to the door-edge guards that can be found at a retail auto parts store; just a better grade.

I evaluated with and without, and it was a no-brainer. Without the molding, dirt/rock/chips could get thrown from the tire, through the gaps, and damage the paint... Besides, I think it has a "finished" look with.
