I painted the car in my garage. Plastic sheeting was hung from the ceiling to prevent overspray getting onto everything. I have a Craftsman 40 gallon air compressor with a 5 HP motor, and used an HVLP paint gun from Harbor Freight (cost about $50). The paint is PPG Omni AU basecoat/clearcoat.
