That looks so original. Now I am going to buy a set of cheap dent and curb rash free hubcaps on ebay that need restored. Thanks a lot for this photo.

How difficult was it to mask it up prior to paint ( there are a lot of curves there)

It took the better part of an hour to properly mask the hubcap. I used ¼” wide masking tape I purchased at NAPA for the round inner ring. Its width is a perfect match. On the rest I used 7-day clean release tape. All the trimming was done with a sharp X-Acto knife. The trick is to take your time and have a steady hand.

nice, clean job. how many different colors did you put, and are these the stock colors.

I have a set, that need to be restored.

This is as near a stock color I could find using off-the-shelf paint.

Here is what I used:

Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating – HWP102

Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Multi-Purpose Paint – 1902 Matte Clear
