- General Exterior It took me a few months but I finally got the paint down to metal - took apart all the bumpers, fenders, glass anything I could take apart I did. I took everything down to metal that I could and shipped it off to my body shop on Oct 2007. They panelized all the parts - made corrections - new floor pans - rear valance area - dog legs - glass - all new gaskets. We had to rebuild the back end of the hatch with donor parts. A lot of welding and correcting. Painted with PPG original color and finished with a lower striping and rear louvers. Received back from the body shop on Nov 2008
