- Description I bought this as a parts car but it had far fewer rust issues than my original project. So, I stripped the origanal down to the shell and scrapped it. Ironically, the cars' serial numbers are 35 apart. My theory is that both cars were first sold here in NC and never left. I bought them in towns about 45 mi. apart. I have almost totally dismantled the car. The only components attached to the shell are what are required for it to roll and steer....no glass, doors, fenders, wiring, plumbing. I'm still doing rust repair and metal replacement. I've been doing engine work this winter waiting for spring when I can resume the body work.
