- Description I bought this truck from a co-worker of mine at my first job, who first bought the truck from my boss at the time who was the second owner of the truck. I bought it for 700 bucks with the intentions of fixing it and flipping it for a profit, but I realized the truck needed to much work to do that and I decided to sell my Isuzu and keep this truck. When I bought the truck the engines timing chain guides had broke allowing the chain to wear a hole through the water pump cavity in the aluminum timing cover and the transmission was popping out of 2nd and 3rd gear. So I pulled the engine and trans, re-built the engine with a new complete cylinder head, gaskets, main and rod bearings, timing chain set, front timing cover, and new motor mounts. I attempted to re-build the trans but broke the mid plate and ended up putting a used 60,000 mile trans in it. Now its my daily driver. I will be replacing the leaky power steering gear box soon. And the front brakes.
