  1. Old Japanese saying... Man with one watch knows what time it is. Man with two watches never certain.
  2. Okay, so today I did my taillight restoration. The one grand ambulance bar cleaner was actually fantastic for removing all of the 40+ years of crud from the lenses. The chrome strip was a bear to remove, but once it was replaced it looks like I have two brand-new taillamps. Very pleased with the results so far. Here is a quick before and after snapshot.
  3. Very cool, 240k's look so much better on their bellies Even better with a bit of back end camber and fat rubber........
  4. Been at it again. More parts for the Yonmeri. The 4x4 ride height was annoying me as well as the stuffed shocks. New parts :tu: Getting stuck in!! Bit lower And the end result!! The front has come down 30mm. The back 50mm!!!! Had very tall rear springs for towing. The new springs are a thicker diameter too, so combined with the new shocks she is a real blast to drive!! Just need to drop in my pre emissions 240Z SU's and an exhaust and you won't be able to wipe the smile from my face!!!!
  5. All pleasure! Sort of a first anniversary trip for me and the wife. Auckland's been great so far, we've had some great meals and nice walks around town. Thanks Mike, I probably should've done as you did and posted here sooner. I appreciate the contact info, we'll see if we can hook up with some Zed-fanatics. In fact, this caught my eye as we strolled through Parnell:
  6. Welcome to the site and to the Z family!! I am also from Austin and so wanted to let you know that we have a local Z club with a good number of our members owning the older S30 models. We are called Capital Z of Texas or CZOT for short. You can get info on us at czot.org and we also have our own Facebook page as well. Monthly meetings are the 4th Monday of each month (ie tonight) and we meet ak Pok-e-Joes in the Brodie Oaks shoppong center (corner of 360 and Lamar). Meetings start at 7 but a number of us gather early for a quick bite to eat and shop talk. Also have monthly drives as well as tech days. It's a great way to learn more about your Z, meet some new people with the same passion as you, and really learn how to enjoy your car. Hope to meet you soon. Mike.

Not much of an office for my structural engineering business, just a laptop for drafting, calculations, and communication, a place to sit down, and books and documents taking up too much space I'd rather have for something else. I do all the grunt work in the field, crawling through filthy attics and crawlspaces with my headlight and cam, and I'm the president, secretary and janitor. The secretary and janitor won't do their damn jobs. Wish I had a real office with a big desk, filing cabinets, a beautiful and brainy secretary and a hard-working janitor, but can't pay for one. Big plus: drink beer at work!
  8. Yes, that is correct FutoFab is holding a Cyber Monday Sale. 15% off all online orders except wheels (wheel purchases will include free shipping to anywhere in the lower 48). 10. Thank you MotiveAlloy. I see you are in the Austin area. I am up north in Pflugerville. If you need a hand with anything just let me know.

I've had a home office for decades and for my purposes, it works just dandy. There are a few tax benefits and the amenities are top notch. Phone issues can be addressed with a landline fax and a cell phone or Google phone#. A real office would make you seem a bit more legit, but comes at a cost. How often do you meet with clients in person? Dennis
