  1. Hello friends, My new remanufactured distributor just arrive for my ZX into 240z swap. I went to pull the mount from my F54 block in my storage unit and it was missing! Who does check before ordering? Ugh. I'm in dire need of the mount and the adjusting plate. Does anyone have these hanging around? I found the mount online, but that still leaves me missing the plate which seems hard to find. I'm going to search the wreckers on Tuesday, but the yards around here don't have many old vehicles. Happy Easter

I've found out that an empty holster on the seat is a pretty good deterrence. Bonzi Lon

After a long wait (beginning of januari, 2nd attempt ) I finally got the chrome bumpers back. First time they messed it up and the chrome was coming off ( flaking ) from the inside of the bumpers. Hoping to put them on next weekend. Oh boy ! :: Also installed a new speedo cable. ( not the OEM one but aftermarket ). Never been able to reach a speedo cable that easy under the dash ! I managed to pick up a set of used but very nice door panels for about 150 euro here in The Netherlands ! They where not cracked and intact, also the chrome is still for 90% on it. My door panels where one of the things on my " to do " list. It looks better now... The guy where I bought it from had a european 240Z but it was to rotten out to restore, so he was parting it out. ( pics will follow later )

Yeah, like I said if I could go to that simplicity again (su's) I wouldn't hesitate. My problem is I want a perfect running EFI and am starting to realize that is not possible on a 38 year old system. And it doesn't help that California makes it harder to keep these cars with the extremely hard to pass emissions testing. I may sell the 280 and get a 240.
  8. Over the years all of the original Nissan fabric braided hoses I have seen look to me more greyish in color than black. Lighting conditions make quite a difference in the shade of grey in my opinion. The outer cross hatched fabric strands look to me like a lighter grey than the under laying fabric, but this could just be the way they reflect light. If you do proceed with dying hoses I would be in interested in seeing the results. This picture is of a new unused hose taken outside in direct sunlight.
  9. I've heard that the Chinese hand pumps at the massage parlors aren't bad;) No personal experience though.
