  1. Wow, that is pretty close match. Progress has slowed considerably now that I'm back at work but have manged to get the fuel and brake lines in, parking brake mechanism, gas tank and fuel pump in. Next job the headliner - no mistakes allowed. This pic is for @zKars, This pic is for @Blue is now 240260280, as you can see I still haven't figured out the white balance
  2. I love pics like this Kats, keep them coming. Its been discussed before about the mounting points of the mirrors. Would just be nice to know why there are different locations.
  3. This photo was taken at the Test Drive US & CANADA, I love this silver. And 240ZG from a magazine. The reason of 15mm lowered in front is, the development team of Europe S30 had found that S30 had a habit of lifting in front when cruising. It was about 10mm. Mr.Takei and Mr.Miyazaki and other engineers all admit that G-nose gives a huge benfit when cruising at high speed, stability is much much improved . Before going on sale G-nose in Japan, many Nissan test crew members got speeding ticket in Tohmei express high way, they did 200km/h crusing. They did not care about ticket ,even they all reported the benifit of G-nose effect not only to the test grope but also to the executives , finally some executives tested by themselves, then G-nose began to sell. 4. I keep forgetting this Z has PS and German Engine! btw I am watching F1 and I see your colour... HAAS Grey
  5. Jason, I took a solid set of backing places made a pattern and had a metal shop modify them. I could have simply cut them down, blasted and painted them, but I wanted them to look factory. They cut and welded a lip on them for strength and to maintain the factory look. I then blasted them to prepare them for the black finish.
  6. The car has always been unhappy on cool down lap, as the heat soak from the manifolds often causes it to stall. So Dale from Coastline Automotive fabricated me a new heat shield. So this is what Bob Sharp did with the 240Z back in the day So I suppose that makes it a period correct part We got an alumium one folded up and HPC coated (thanks high performance coatings Akld) Coated the underside with heat resistant material (the headers are already wrapped in cloth) And the finished result Took all to the track and she ran perfectly (well almost it seems the engine may be a getting a bit tired after 30+ hours racing - so next job ......) well actually next job is a few gauges - will post that shortly when finished.
  7. Here is a MK63 fitted on PS30-100006, the 3rd from the last Z432.I do not know it is vented or not, just for your reference. Kats
  8. Well I didn't make it to Miami to Vizcaya, but my days were quite full! Here's a summary what I did do: Hiked around a little at the Yamato Scrub Nature Area Z Rides and was treated to a wonderful lunch. Twice!! Checked out the Boca Old Town Hall History Museum Drove till I couldn't drive no more and ate lunch sitting at the edge of the Everglades Hiked around a little at the Daggerwing Nature Center Packed an impromptu food cooler and had a picnic style dinner on the beach at Red Reef Park with SWMBO. Was supposed to be a surprise, but she figured it out. Checked out the oldest two remaining structures in Boca (one is now a kids museum, and the other is still a private residence) Checked out the original Boca F.E.C. Railway Depot now turned museum Drove past Camino Gardens which used to be a African wild animal park Did a lap through Mizner Park Drove through Pearl City and Lincoln Court Checked out the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center Lots of great food, and one not so great. Hit the following Brew Pubs. There were plenty more I wanted to check out, but I only got to three of them. Barrel of Monks 26 Degrees (In Pompano) Copperpoint (In Boynton) Here's a couple pics. If anyone wants more detail or pics of any of these exploits, let me know!

Sorry to hear. We lost our dog some years back to kidney failure. The dog we have now is 14 and starting to show the signs of age. Sad.

Having lost Sully and Claire within the last two years, so sad to hear. I know the feeling---big empty spot---your life isn't the same. Give it some time Jai---the sorrow fades in intensity and memories of the good times together remain forever. You gave Deanna a wonderful life, she blessed yours.
  14. Hi Gavin, that is interesting ! It makes sense to have a tap holder for that wheel I think. Kats
  15. Looking forward to seeing it at the OZC swap meet then!
  16. I've decided to buy the Z! After receiving a very thorough overview from norcal z, I was able to make a confident decision. As he mentioned the car will require some TLC. But seeing as I'm in it for the long haul, perfection looks very attainable and I look forward to my future with my fellow enthusiasts! In due time you will see me appearing all over the forums with lots of questions and findings. Thank you to everyone who has shown their support, I am so excited about this pleasant community here. A very special thank you to norcal z for his phenomenal attention to detail and insight during my purchase process. Couldn't have made the decision without you Gary! 17. I'm sticking this one in just for fun, not because anyone would or could buy one. This is the 1st generation BRE "Spook", used only in the 1970 competition season. It was already installed by the dealer when I bought the car. Its been suggested by a knowledgeable source it may be the last one in existence. This design was replaced by the version in post #30.
