  1. Outside Datsun importer in Portugal 1971
  2. Here's an update. I went ahead and pulled the master, as mentioned, it is for a ZX and I compared the depth of the piston to the stock master. According to my very rough caliper measurements, the stock master piston is substantially closer to the push rod than the ZX unit, I had thought it would be the other way around. I then decided to reinstall the stock one. The end result is the brakes work great! I had originally purchased the new ZX master because it was recommended with the Toyota brakes, the stock one works just fine. Thanks to all that chimed in on this!
  3. So this has all worked out very well so far. Drove to the sellers home with my wife in the roadster. It was a beautiful cool sunny morning and the drive through Rancho Santa Fe and Fairbanks Ranch was absolutely perfect. We spoke with the seller and his wife for about 30 minutes and I left a $1000 deposit for the car. I told him that I would pick the car up in a month or two as I currently have no time or space and he said that was fine. I did check on the front windshield glass and it is the original Nissan stamped windshield in excellent condition. So, very happy with all of the original parts and especially the interior. The original motor is even sporting some of the original braided hoses. Any, will post pics later.
  4. 270cc Bosch injectors . Just picked them by size, but used on 1.8T Audis . Bought them new Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  5. i put the hose off the top of the core through the top hole just so the air could bleed out better, but my control valve is in the engine bay. i have no idea if it made any difference at all
  6. When I mentioned the factory 'Roll Over/Safety Bar' mount prep points to ('Kaku U' team member) Osawa san in a conversation about competition influence, he had no idea they were even there. When I asked chief chassis engineer (also 'Kaku U' team member) Hitoshi Uemura about them he said "not my department...". It serves to remind that there was a cast of hundreds behind these cars.
  7. Hi Steve, Thank you for giving me an idea about when I can drive over for your tech knowledge to work on RedBird. These are some things that need attention. First the A/C. Find that green wire Sam spoke about. I am melting when out and driving. Then the tach you also mentioned. Flashers are working intermittently, they are non working now. Back up lights quit totally. Horn has never worked. There is that spring you have that will fix my drivers door lock assembly. Take out radio and replace with new one that fits the hole in the dash. The one now sticks out because the A/C is behind it. There is probably more, but that is all I can think of. I'm sure this list is way too much to get done in one day anyhow. Looking forward to my visit. Thanking you again... Jai
