  1. Getting ready for Spring with some fresh fluids installed today.
  2. Yes, "loss of travel" could mean loss up, or loss down. cgsheen might have some setup advice. @cgsheen @cgsheen1 Not sure which is him...
  3. Everything about this truck and the setting was just right. I love the faded paint, the white roof, and the hubcaps. The owner wasn't afraid to drive it through the puddles and rocks and it was being used as intended; as a truck. I only got a glimpse of it and now I wonder if others get the same stir of emotions when they see our Z's on the road? This truck looks otherworldly and being inspired I drove my Z that night. Ben
  4. I got the springs and struts on EBay, it was a kit that was purchased some time ago and never used. Not sure whats going on with my pics, I have posted pics without issue many times. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  5. I agree with Mark.....if you are getting continuous flow to rear carb, the only other variable is a restriction in the route from the fuel rail to the carb. Just had a friend that had the same problem.....new filter in banjo fitting solved the problem. He had just had his gas tank lined at a radiator shop. The red (twizzler looking) liner was dissolving and building up in his filter.
  6. Very nice to see real world dynamics of the fuel flow! BIG THANKS! Sorry it is for a problem though. Is this the 72 with the stepped float heights? Maybe try swapping needle valves between front and back bowls to see if problem moves?
  7. Float Sync tool? Glass tubes ? Dont let gas sit in them too long or the expoxy gums up that holds the tubes and block the readings- ask me how I know
  8. End mill. You cut on the tip instead of the side. Poof. Flat bottom slot. Then you use a flat bottom key instead of Woodruff. Plenty of auto manufacturers do it.
  9. Well good luck with the administration of the details. And I hope she doesn't try to deny responsibility for her actions. Out of curiosity, when the cop said he couldn't figure out who hit who... did you suggest that it would be impossible for you to drive your car sideways into the front of hers such that your driver's side door took that kind of isolated damage?
  10. This is mine with Vogtland springs and KYB shocks. Front shock travel is short.
  11. I had the Eibach progressives on one of my 71's and they had a bit of a float/bounce on some bumps. Plus the rear was lower than the front - yes they were properly installed - front on the front and rear on the rear. I drove a friends Z with Vogtland springs and liked it. I swapped for the Vogtlands. The car sits level and the ride is stiff, but not near what my other Z is with the BRE springs. I think you'll be happy with the Vogtland springs.
  12. Ok so i took a closer look last night you are right i have the VA (fronts) and HA (rears). thanks for the help hope to get them put on next week.i will try to get some before and after photos to post.
  13. Edit - if you need to keep preload on the springs, you could add a spacer between the spring and the perch. That would allow you to lower the sleeve. If you find that the parts are not right. Well, turns out I wrote a bunch of stuff while I was learning. And most of what i wrote is wrong. Except the first post about nomenclature, words, labels, etc. It's looking like your struts might just be too short. Not sure what you do about that. Maybe you can add an extension. Good luck. They say to do what you're doing. https://stance-usa.com/about/faq/#toggle-id-9
  14. I would think the mininum threaded engagement would be 1 to 1.5 times the collar diameter. 5 threads ain't gonna do it.
