The restoration of my FJ40 was at a stand still for a while, but with the installation of the top it is complete. I am considering installing an Gobi roof rack and a Warren winch. The procrastination is taking it away from it's basically stock restored condition.

It's really hard to evaluate using a recorded media like that, but I don't like the sound of it either. The frequency is too high. I can deal with a "tap" at idle, but it's almost a "buzz". I'm thinking alternator bearings or brushes? Or, it could just be impossible to tell from a recording like that.1 point

1 pointThose clever suspension design guys have that covered... Non-problem. It doesn't matter. Note the bulged up (or down, depending on which side you consider "up") area where the end link contacts the control arm. It's almost an ellipse? Note that area is actually in the centerline of the control arm. When you flip it over, since it's on center, the distance is the same regardless of which side is up. Not sure if makes sense with just words. If not, I can post a pic or something to help explain?1 point

1 pointI have these https://groupharrington.com/product/datsun-240z-and-260z-bumpers/ and they were terrific. Still look great. They were being manufactured in either Thialand or Vietnam IIRC so maybe these from bumperauto are from the same place? Just looked closer, the rear is a three piece like the stocker, the groupharrington rear is one piece. What price did they quote? The GH is on sale for 816 brit pounds.1 point -
1 point@jalexquijano Is there much difference in spark plug color when you compare #s 1-3 vs 4-6? Let's try to figure out if one carb is running richer than the other.1 point
