  1. LOL! I go off-line for a couple days and come back to this? I appreciate the accolades, but I fear you guys give me waaaaay too much credit! Blind squirrel and all that...
  2. More humor. Because we like to have fun here. Explanation shouldn't be necessary.
  3. Ok i have made some more research and this is what I have found. AMCO was an American company that became very successful in the 60s by producing different aftermarket products for British Sport Cars. It disappeared somehow in the late 70s. A manufacturer of parts for Austin Healeys bought from them the original toolings to make the Austin's rubber mats exactly as AMCO made them in the 60-70s so I'm trying to contact that manufacturer to see if we can source the original AMCO toolings to reproduce the 240z rubber mats. If we cannot go that route, it will have to be the SCAN route. Will keep you all posted.
  4. I bought one. Very nice quality. Thumbs up!
  5. That won't get you very far here! GLWS
  6. You won't need the money in 7 days.

  8. I was good friendโ€™s with Nick (owner of the Rusty Nail). We hung out there back in the 70โ€™s. Nick also had a 240Z......small world. Itโ€™s on North Druid Hills Road.....you can follow me there Cliff....itโ€™s just a little pub, but a fun place to drink!!
  9. My thoughts exactly!!! Bruce can cover for you claiming you as his service animal. So we would have twins with a monkey for a chauffeur. That sounds like a great screen play for a movie!
  10. I need to get you a shirt with that on it for your bar crawl with Cliff. Cliff could be your service animal

  16. No I don't have that, but I don't have the manual vents inside either. For some reason cars with AC run all the fresh air through the blower system. Very disappointing, it would be nice to have a simple manual fresh air source, besides the windows. I've tried to figure out how I could transplant one over but haven't found a car to pull from. My snorkel just pulls from the right front corner of the engine bay. But I've disconnected it at the other end, like site did, just to get some intake honk. That entrance hole seems so small, and the flow path tortuous. I can feel that extra 1/10 HP...
  17. I see it now. Looks like it was made to be spliced together to make a six pack. I forgot that heater hose used to come in red. I'm using heater hose for my valve cover PCV port. Living dangerous with no flame arrester.
  18. I just replaced the o rings and oil in my standard shocks, new OE rubber everywhere else. For daily round the town driving I think that is the better way to go. If the shocks have already been replaced with cartridges then you have no choice but to replaced them if they are bad. I would leave the springs stock unless they are damaged if you want a comfortable ride, most of what I have read would point to a rougher ride (is rough enough IMHO stock). I don't have them but have read lots of peeps unhappy with urethane as far as noise and road feel for a daily driver. Same goes for mustache bar mounts, the OE provide better noise abatement from diff whine again only from what I have read. So while I will defer to others on after market suspension parts, I will say that my completely stock setup drives very well for daily driving, and since you mentioned that I thought I would chime in on leaving it OE.
  19. I used to think it made little difference but it sure does on triple Webers. Maybe the fact our SU's are flowing for 3 cylinders (3X weber flow), makes the fuel height differential less significant.
  20. That pic threw me at first as well. But if you blow it up to full size and look carefully just to the right of injector connector #3, you can see the cut ends of the wires from the rear bank of three. The way they are laying in the pic makes it look like it's a full harness of six (as it was intended), but it's actually two smaller harnesses of three injectors each. And as for the AAR, that's probably red 5/8 heater hose. The original hose turned to rock and crumbled to dust, so they replaced it with some heater hose of similar size. Not that I've ever done such a thing....
  21. Reaction Research! I been trying to remember that all morning. I bought some fiberglass bumpers from him. He sold high end bicycles and I think was a pilot. New Mexico maybe, somewhere out that way.
  22. Check out my thread for info on the sound dampening material from Lethbridge Alberta. Very reasonable and excellent quality product. B-Quiet Sound Deadening https://www.b-quiet.com
  23. I've got one just like that. 2.0 stamped on the side, and the Hitachi logo. Just one in a box of assorted round top parts. I've got way more flat top parts than I do round top. Surprised?
  24. Just my opinion, but saying you won't need the money Next month (7 days form now) is not much of a carrot to a potential buyer, especially at 10K. Some of us have an odd sort of humor, me included, and I didn't see that comment as rude at all. This isn't Facebook and most the folks on this forum are very well educated with the history, mechanics and iterations of the S30. In fact, some are kind of famous for it. This is the best place to come when you have questions and need help about your Z. We could more than likely guide you if you wanted to finish the project. So please don't be so quick to snap back and we'll all get along just fine.
  25. You still looking ? I might be able to help . If any interest ,Please contact me at my alternate email : stevenehlers77@gmail.com
  26. Sure, no problem. How many of the 32,992 forum members could possibly be interested? Since I'm sure there are at least 30 or 40 tire kickers on the forum and the temperature in Palm Springs is going to be well over 100ยบ every day this week, some ground rules. Anyone planning a Best Offer bid and wanting me to look at the Z should: 1. Contact the seller 2. Get seller's name, phone #, address, and times available for viewing 3. PM me with the information to check my availability for contacting seller and looking at the Z Dennis
  27. Clear turnsignal lenses mounted. Think I like it...

Pulled the head last weekend I think that might be our water leak #1. I checked it with a machinist rule and it's out of spec. Took it to the machine shop and he said it looks like someone had been belt sanding on it. So hopefully we will get it back the end of next week. Broke one of the bolts as the thermostat too Painted another one of his doors too
  30. Wow... Completely coincidental. I was doing the exact same thing yesterday!! With the exact same tools, and learning the exact same lessons! Making new lines for my buddy's 260:
