You're welcome. When the early cars started getting expensive that drove all the other cars up in price. I buy a good many cars off of online auctions and the pictures there are the same way. I always assume the car has twice as much wrong as you can see in the pictures. Sort of like the girl across the room, many of them look better at a distance too!

Matthew, thanks for producing that awesome chart, it is very useful. For reference I just measured the lightly used original spare from my 7'70 car, its a Bridgestone 175SR14. Using a Pi tape I measured the existing outside diameter at 25.17" and a tread depth of 7/32". Calculates to just over an 81% aspect ratio, right in the middle of that 80 - 82 range. Cheers Mike

Did you see that '81 turbo for $2,500? Montgomery/Houston area CL. That would be a fun car. WOW, prices have gone through the roof on Zs lately. Didn't realize how much they are asking for basic 280. I bought my '77 for $1,200 in 2011 and spent another $1,000 on it. Looks like now I would ask $12,000 to $15,000 for it. Stocks and bonds, meh, not me.

This week it is back to sanding and primer on the 680, but it all heads towards getting it ready for the final paint.

Just looked on their website part is listed as the-- tag reads --they have it listed for $ 25.00 i sent them an email letting them know it will fit 240/ 260 so maybe they already made this but didnt label it for 240/260 forgot to mention called the other z vendors and none had a line that would fit into the frame bracket retainer as the original did maybe im being too fussy but and i do appreciate the companys that sell Z parts BTW same with alot of the pontiac stuff -id only wish they would do a little more hands on fittament testing or at least in the part description let you know the non fitament details

Hi Kats, Does the plastic reservoir bottle accept the same kind of cap? I saw pictures with a white plastic cap, but I didn't see anything with a metal pressure relief cap installed on the plastic bottle. And also, have you confirmed that the plastic reservoir bottle was designed to contain the pressure involved?

You can see in the FSM that the brown link should be of lower capacity than the green. How it got to 50 amps and red is still somewhat of a mystery. I think that someone took a guess may years ago and it has lasted.

I kinda like them, but to me, it's really just a "personal preference" decision. Unless you are trying to keep the car "original", it's your call.
