  1. Jason240z is from the UK and speaks English English. Allow me to interpret what he meant by: who are "the datsun garage" ( Translation to American English: Who are you? ). You're an unknown entity on this site, your website is intentionally devoid of phone and physical address information, so one has to wonder if your business is legitimate, a "drop ship" vendor, or a scam. what would a set of 14x6.5 be? ( Translation to American English: What is the cost of a set of 4 wheels size 14" X 6.5"? ) Glad to be of help. Dennis
  2. My laser cutter makes gasket making super quick and easy. File attached if someone needs it. I've decided to fit the newer version of the spray bar. Oil Spray Bar Front GasketV5- large.svg
  3. What's the voltage? You might have a bad regulator. More volts = more current = more heat.
  4. Just a pic. of my rear 280zx 2+2 shocks.. these are the Original 40 year old still good working ones.. Cleaned them up around march 2019, then i heard that KONI is going to make new ones.. oh well.. test these first and can install new ones any time later!
  5. If it helps I made vroom vroom noises in my head...
  6. Zed Head, you identified part of the problem. Voltage regulator at higher RPM was putting out too much voltage, however wires were still getting warm. replaced all of the spade connectors on the wires and seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for all the help folks.
  7. Yup. I've been lucky with most of the spindle pins I've had to remove but I've had three or four that had to be cut and the remnants pressed out. There's one thing I've noticed about many of the spindles I've extracted: The metal is relatively soft and is "mushroomed" at the edge(s) of the Lock Bolt chamfer easily by improper installation of the Lock Bolt. I've pulled quite a few that were not locked due to corrosion but were difficult to move because of the "swelling" near the Lock Bolt. I've generally found that if I can rotate the spindle, I can usually knock it out with a drift - even if it's mushroomed. Always put your Lock Bolts in correctly and torque them properly to avoid this type of damage to the middle of the spindle.

  10. seems like the only thing you can do. Good thing is if you are like me, it gets easier and faster to remove. IF it does indeed turn out to be a hung up balk ring (again the only thing I can think of and I have no 1st hand knowledge of this happening) you may want to take a close look at it to see if any wear has happened. Could even start by just shinning a light in the gear oil to see if you can detect any shinny looking particles.
  11. Haha!! It always does, my friend!!
  12. Nice work, like the fool proof design to align the gasket.
  13. Finished the throttle linkage. I drilled and tapped a fitting so that the cable could run vertical and be adjustable. This was locked in place with a cable set screw. I then solved the riddle of what to do with the old linkage tabs! I added a return spring helper to make sure the throttle snapped back nice and tight. A quick pedal height adjustment and I now have full range of motion from idle to WOT! [emoji2]
  14. Well ok then upping the ante how about windshield A pillar plastic panels :-) for 77-78 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. We have printed these and they come out pretty good, just never got into production. Its a 20+ hour print. We have 3 printers right now and im about to throw in the towel on all of them. Between inconsistant quality of filament and the machines having their good and bad days its difficult to get production out of them without putting a lot of time in! Hoping to see some new machines at SEMA this year that might offer some answers. Ryan
  16. Thanks to all! i got all bearings removed. I did end up pressing thru the end caps on a couple, but was able to still get the rest of the cap off. im going start another thread about the spindle pin.
  17. mine is on the way scheduled for 8/62019 delivery!! Tracking it left Tracy CA fedex today
