+1 on the Duplicolor approach. I've finished one grill and two rear panel sets with that combination. The grill close-up is for a color check. BTW - I primered the back side of the rear panels then sealed with clear.

Here's my favorite rear finisher color side by side comparison. Post number 14. Thanks @CanTechZ And this one too!
  3. I have got the book too ! Thanks Alan , you provided so much excitement to the book , wonderful pictures. Kats
  4. Nissan seal is on the left. The Fel Pro is on the right(as you are viewing the picture). The Nissan one is slightly less deep than the Fel Pro one. Got it installed and driven about 15 miles for a test run/ milkshake for the kid. No apparent leaks. She's getting good at not spilling during high speed turns haha.
  5. Okay, I finally got around to measuring the endplay of my crankshaft. Work has been crazy busy but I got sometime today in the garage. This is the first time doing this so I hope I did it correctly. I’m measuring .003” of endplay on this crank. After that I pushed the crank as forward as possible and then torqued the main caps down to 35 ft/lbs. I made a video measuring the endplay. If you see something wrong let me know. I’m hoping to get the pistons installed next week. Goal is to have the motor finished before Santa arrives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Don't forget that you can buy a clear fuel filter and add it to the incoming fuel line under the hood. That will give you a visual to see if anything's getting into the line.
  7. The tank coatings have to be absolutely cured before you add gasoline to the tank. I would add the inline filter back to monitor what is coming out of the tank.
  8. Use compressed air and blow into the tank from the lines in the engine
  9. This study, if my memories serves correct, was made by Mr .Tamura and his team . Mr. Tamura had a several collage students to make this model , He was a supervisor, and let them lead the way , This car has a device that projects the outside view on a cockpit monitor . Yes it has a camera . And the team put a TV monitor at the corner of this car to show its camera is viewing people gathering around this car . Kats
  10. Hi Blue , it is interesting, computer do lots of things. This picture, I think this blue 240Z has a black splash guard . Kats
  11. Yep, that's his distribution method.
  12. I think I would rework work that so the rocker line was straight all the way down. Loss of spots welds or no
  13. Hi Blue , I don’t know much about it, I would say the bottle is not for any S30 . Kats
  14. PS30-00166 is on the same auction , this car was mentioned already here in the past auction in the US . Seems it changed in hands in the US maybe previous owners wasn’t happy about the car . The estimate is really low , but I don’t know it is a good buy for someone who wants a right Z432 . Kats
  15. Hi Gavin , if I were single , I would quit buying a house , then I would go for a car . But maybe not a Z432-R. I want a Ferrari or Lamborghini ! Kats
  16. Playing with colourize... colours from @kats's videos
  17. A couple of photos from my collection. Alan, the 2000 GT is labeled as a 1971 (handwritten on the back), but I think that's an error and it was actually from the 1969 show. It seems to be the same model standing next to it as the 432. Do you agree?? -Mike
  18. Ten years ago, some of my photo posts on this thread were scans taken from original Japanese magazines of the period. Quality could have been better. And now it can be. Morita san of MOTOR Magazine has kindly posted scans of some the original photos from their archives:
