    Merry christmas to all
  2. If that turns out to be difficult, I’ll settle for a high resolution picture of the bottom of a filthy rusty thick undercoating covered Z applied to the underside of the coffin lid. Leave me a wire brush, scraper and propane torch so I have something to do for all eternity.
  3. Your coffin will need to be at least 2 feet off the ground to get a proper transmission removal.

Merry Christmas! And thank you so much to all the delivery drivers for Fedex, Canada Post, UPS, Purolator, DHL etc that I have met in the past year!
  6. Red is +12. Black is ground. Green is speed input.* White is gauge illumination lamps. *Note that I don't know what kind of signal the tach is expecting, but the green wire is where it should occur.
  7. Well that makes sense. You seem to be doing a pretty good job regardless. It could be worse, you could live in California, it has crazy taxes, and they are so strict on vehicle inspections it makes owning a classic car very painful there too. I used to live there and had a classic VW that I had to register out of state to get it on the road there. It one of the reasons I enjoy living in the South, its super inexpensive, and the states mostly exempt older cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi friends, The Z is still on the mechanic, I think this year, 2019, will finish the resto! I hope!!!ahahahha The ca ris almost done, the exceptions are related to some metal work and the systems that have to be revisioned like the brake system, fuel system. The interiors need some detail attention and that’s it…sound a bit like quick things, but it’s not! But the car already has the MOT and left the garage for a marriage…ahahahah… Let’s see the photos… Regards Mário The car waiting for the original wheels…still watanabe… Preparing the centre caps for the Kobe Seiko wheels… Changing to the original shape! MOT…nothing to say…zero problems… Arriving home, 5:00 AM…and what a ride…tons of problems… hard rain, fog and tons of waterplanning… Waiting for the married friends… And the bride’s kidnaping…ahahahahah Hope you enjoyed the ongoings, because the end of the resto is coming! Cheers!!!
  9. Cap, rotor, wires are all readily accessible and I have new ones on hand. I am finding pick up coils and reluctors but can not seem to locate a vacuum advance unit or the springs for the advance weights. I have found some Cardone reman distributors available that have all those pieces included but thought it would be neat to retain the original distributor assembly that was installed at the factory. I did get all the pieces for the alternator which also was the factory installed unit on my resurrection project. I am not a big fan of Cardone reman products and looking for some helpful tips. Obviously these parts must be available if they are being installed on the reman units or are they just getting cleaned up real nicely and put back on? Thanks for any help and Merry CHRISTmas. Finally! My Christmas themed car is looking good this time of year!
  11. Santa can dig one up. PM me.
  12. I agree with all the comments above. That car is way way over-priced. You don’t need to feel rushed he’s not selling that car anytime soon at that price. The market is different across the country but nowhere is it that high. I paid $3800 for a rust free car that didn’t run and needed a full interior rehab. That car your looking at is a 5-7k car at the most. The rust on the door jam is concerning. If he’s at 14k it probably is not negotiable and he clearly isn’t away of The value of these cars right now. Go find another on. I see good deals all the time you’ll just have to be patient. 13. And... The smaller red and black wires leading deeper into the tach are what makes the gauge needle move. I can tell you more about that if there are problems, but I'm hoping it just works and we don't have to.
  14. Photobucket is experiencing an outage. Yes, I could copy the text and re-create the post with the pictures attached to the forums. May work on it tonight if MNF is uneventful.
