These are the cars that we have stored in our warehouse. Just to be clear my grandfather passed away in 2011 and 2 years ago I discovered these cars and realized how badly kept they have been. I am only 18 and I am trying to restore as many as possible. I have successfully restored a 1994 Mustang Cobra (indie-500 edition) that was no easy task but this has led me into my passion for cars. I understand these cars are in bad shape, but I am doing what I can to hopefully make my grandfather proud.. Lastly, some of these cars have not been driven or started in over 25 years... Which is extremely sad and I sadly have no one to blame except my father who does not care for cars as much as my grandfather or I do. Thanks for listening and I will try my best to describe each car, also all of these cars are for sale at the right price, if you are interested quote this and I will try to reach out to you! Thanks again!! -Reece The white Mercedes is the only car that has been sold; the Datsun red c3 corvette and the Old Rolls Royce are the only cars not for sale.2 points

No worries, the red c3 was my fathers from when he was in high school and its been in the back of my head since I heard that used to be his.. Whenever I get enough money I would like to bring it to a shop here in Beaumont and get it fixed up for him, since he misses it. The rolls royce is another car that I would like to keep in the collection, as in a few years it could be worth more than it is now. And lastly the Datsun is a car that I have been trying to get fixed up for the past few months but I'm struggling on it haha!1 point

Your Grandad had eclectic taste, maybe don't be too quick to clean them up, as we've seen at some auctions houses that that layer of dirt and leaves fetches a premium sometimes.1 point

But that negative feedback was about a set of those SU's, "Leaky and bad carbs, severe lack of communication, didn’t want to give refund" You'll be very happy with ZTherapy's work, I've sent them 2 sets and both came back perfect.1 point

Use a puller ( a pully puller..) when you can't get it off.. NEVER HIT IT WITH A HAMMER YOU WILL DESTROY THE BEARINGS!! (Like that dumb arse of a painter of mine.. (the first one..) see my "restoration of a 280zx 2+2 1979 slick roof ) I'm still in need of a new bearing thanks to that unprofessional idiot..1 point

It is a bit tricky the first time you remove a ZX wheel. Rule 1. There is a simple push-on cover over the upper half of the wheel, the one with the ZX logo. I guess its the horn button isn’t it? It just kinda of peels off of the center section. This reveals the 22mm nut. Remove the nut (not quite all the way) the wiggle and pull (hard!) the wheel toward you until it comes off the splines. Done. I just happen to have a tan wheel from an 81 turbo on a ZX I;m parting out that you can purchase to replace the one you “had a learning experience” on. Send me a personal message.1 point

The clear coats solved the problem with metal flakes - but created another problem - over a short period of time in hotter sun regions especially - the clear coats started to crack - at first it looked like fine scratches in the paint, then got worse over time as the clear coats increased “grazing” until they started to flake off. The problem as explained by the BMW Factory Tech's - was UV light passed though the clear coats and heated up the color coat under them. The difference in the coefficient of expansion of the two coatings caused the clear coats to crack as the color coat expand more rapidly under them. In 1972 BMW and VW had such problems that new cars sitting in stock were crazing before even being sold. I worked for a BMW/DATSUN dealer then. Lots of customers with BMW’s had their cars stripped and repainted - under extended factory warranty - cars up to 3 years old were covered. The solution at the time - was to mix a small amount of color with the first application of clear coat - then put a second clear coat over that. That made the heat transfer between the color coat and the final clear coat more slowly and evenly… Do agree that by the 80’s newer paints solved the problem by more closely matching the coefficient of expansion of the two different materials.1 point

I have to add one thing. The L series engine cam cover gasket doesn’t require any sealer. The correct gasket (remember, don’t use the cork ones!) will seal perfectly, and can be reused over and over, dozens of times. Torque the cover bolts every time you install it.1 point
