  1. My uncracked 1972 dash has only been cleaned with windex and then treated with baby oil. You can see where it soaks in as it dries out quickly. I then add a bit more and wipe it down.

I've been on the wrong side of the law since I was 14. Now I'm trying to be respectful but have never felt so alone and worried about day to day in my life. I know it's up to me and my decisions going foward. Hopefully things will get back to normal as fast as possible. I'm tired of watching television. I can honestly say classiczcars.com has been my lifeline during all this. I don't consider what we say and share as social media, it's not. I really feel like family here and I appreciate that. This is helping me through these weird times by trying to help others with a car problem that I can actually help. So get out there and tear up these Zs! Y'all are keeping me sane. (well mostly). Stick together and help others when you can. Open a door for someone, help somebody fix a door. It feels the same.
  3. Just to add to this thread which seems to be the most comprehensive on S30 SS aftermarket bumpers. I requested a price from both Harrington’s and bumper automobile (original vendor @jfa.series1 used) Amy from bumper automobile replied immediately with a price. And offered to quote on shipping. I gave her my address and she provided a total price immediately. Note: If you want the security of PayPal then you will pay a fee, totally worth it for piece of mind IMO. $35 USD total quoted price including shipping to Perth Australia and PayPal fee was $775 USD (the shipping cost may be different for people in the US) This price was $200 cheaper than the TYNDA bumper supplier on eBay. So I asked her to send me the PayPal invoice. She did immediately. I paid and informed her. She thanked me and advised she will send tracking number as soon as she has one. This all happened over about 3 hours. So from my experience emails were replied to immediately even though it was a Saturday. So bumper automobile customer service so far seems excellent, far better than most US Z vendors who take a week to reply. Today 26/04/21 Harrington replies. Too late sorry. And price was £699 including shipping. (Roughly $973USD) $198USD more than bumper automobile. I’m not sure if shipping would have changed had I provided my oz address. But by that time it was too late anyway Group buy price offered by Harrington’s was $750USD. Which means they can supply it for less, but choose not to. Granted they are a business and are in it to make money. But if you don’t stumble upon this thread and use the code you get charged 198USD more for no reason I can see. That doesn’t sit well with me. I will report back with updates on overall experience once bumpers are received Ryan
  4. That's understandable, if I drove 450kms to see it I would definitely be putting a down payment on it. Having said that, everything is fixable and no matter what Z you end up with, it will have a history and will still need to be sorted out. All these little things that people have pointed out can also be used to haggle the price lower, good luck.
  5. I'll reach out to him and see what he says. Thanks
  6. How much driving are you doing in a couple of weeks? And how much is disappearing? A whole tank's worth? Does the exhaust smell like coolant? OR do you smell coolant in the engine bay? Check your spark plugs. HG leaks tend to clean the cylinder that is getting the coolant. Also, check the back of the cylinder head over the starter. Mine had an external HG leak there. The coolant ran down the back of the engine while it was warming up. Once the engine got hot the leak sealed up. But you could see the stain it left.
  7. @Captain Obvious Thank you so much! I will just cap both of the vacuum ports then and leave it on. Hopefully by this upcoming weekend I will have everything corrected and together. If it still runs like trash I will go straight to a compression check and get back with numbers. And then the real fun will begin. Lets hope it doesn't come to that haha.
  8. Here are a few photos from the enduro race from Sunday at The Mitty. Greg Ira and Woody Staub piloted the #5 Dan Parkinson tribute car to a 3rd in class finish.
  9. I don't know that one.. The only thing i can say, watch out, many s30 cars are in bad state. I see that they are in Almelo.. If you want my 30+ year Z-eye looking for you .. you could take me with you to them, costs nothing just you have to pick me up and bring me home.. send me a PM. if you need some specialist eye haha.
  10. Thank you so much I really appreciate it!
  11. Hi Steve.....Your Z gets better looking every year. Hope you and Randy are getting number 46 back in shape. BTW the number 22 car of Woody’s is probably the best looking Z race car I’ve ever seen....not so much his 85 car LOL.
  12. I agree with craigslist but don't dare put your info on there. Make people go through their email setup. If you have a isp like comcast you should make a second or whichever email address just for the sale. I get 4 with comcast.net
  13. Yeah, i asked a dealer ones for that stuff but he (Here in the Netherlands) could it only deliver it in a 5 ltr container.. and costs were around 80-90 euro's pfff.. Maybe there are half or 1 ltr bottles now?
  14. We use Meguiar's Hyper Dressing on plastics and rubber. You can "thin" it with water and it actually protects and helps restore plastics and vinyl.
  15. Agree, no silicone.. maybe do some investigation around oil holding products? The plastic breaks because the oil is out and things get brittle. I'm glad here in europe we don't have that problem with the heat...yet... (last summer it was over 40 degrees Celcius here .. that's over 104 F Pfff...)
  16. Don't use products that contain silicon. That's my best advice.
  17. The best things happen early! Sometimes I stay up all night just to be early.
  18. It had a couple of friends join it. My Mitty buddies who aren't racing don't get to the track at 8AM like this nutcase does.
  19. I’d love to see that with a body-color roof.
  20. I made my own brackets for front and rear, so spacers weren't necessary. But like siteunseen, I didn't want anything rubbing directly on the paint, so I cut up a bike tire tube and used that on the rear on the bracket and side mounts.
