  1. I've driven the new mechanical regulator long enough, since popping loose the contact, that the spiking would have appeared. And, it has not. So, the spiking problem was likely the solid state replacement that was in there. It had evidence of problems (cracked base). Thanks again guys.

  5. I had the same issue your experiencing and I basically set it to the factory idle speed after the aar closed.
  6. I run a ps20 fireball coil with the e12-80 distributor on my my 240. I split the the low and high and gapped at .041 with the ngk bp6es. Runs great.
  7. I think BPR6ES are gapped at 0.8 and BPR6ES-11 are the same, but gapped at 1.1. Either can be re-gapped to something else.
  8. Nope, nothing intended to be taken apart with these. Sand blast them best you can then powder coat as is. Any place that doesn’t get much PC isn’t visible anyway. Well they “can” be taken apart with grinding and re-engineered with replaceable fasteners, depends on the level of quality you are trying to achieve I guess
  9. ... also, I just noticed that they must have removed the left side-marker. No wonder the fender looked so clean to my eye. {edit: I reviewed the Auto Sport pictures, and can see that the cut line is there, and that the left marker is missing.)
  10. The Ignitor II is an adaptive dwell system, AKA current-limiting. If you use it with the low resistance coil they suggested, the FlameThrower II (primary resistance 0.6 ohms), you should be able to use the larger plug gap.
  11. Actually, you can modify them yourself. Step 1: Remove from wrapper. Step 2: Insert in mouth. Step 3: Remove from mouth when desired reduced size is achieved.. Warning: Leaving in mouth too long will make them disappear. 😎
