  1. Good plan, I predict prices are going to continue to rise on everything across the board. So if you know you’ll need something it’s best to buy now vs cry later.

  3. After a long time, mainly due to loads of projects going on all at once (at different stages) my option SP/SP311 (74340-25500) footrest replica is finished. I am pleased. The original footrest option for the 311 would have been a nice addition to the S30 range if Nissan decreed it back in 1969 for production instead of the black painted one.

  7. A great reference piece. Thanks.
  8. Does the old paint still have a matte finish after your cleaning? You might want to check this out...
  9. Hey @Diseazd I want your opinion too! Keep the hubcaps old looking but protect them with some wax for 20 years storage. I like Maguire's #7 on old paint. I'm scared I'll go all "Cliff" and over do it, OCD and all that Bud Light. I've made up my mind just typing to you and Cantech Z. Thanks. Cliff
  10. @siteunseen guys problem solved. I tracked the green wires for the thermotime connector and it was hooked in the temp sensor!!! Car started beautifully. Appreciate all the responses.
  11. Kind of a tough call. Actually I don't have much experience with painting so I can't say if it's a good idea to spray the matte clear over the existing original paint. One thing I would try, at least in a small test is to use a cleaner like Dupli-Color grease and wax remover. It would be a good prep to remove any last bit of residue from the Murph's and scotch brite process. I'm not familiar with Maguires #7 wax, but I thought you would usually remove any wax prior to paint with clear. I've use a lot of this stuff with good results on various cleaning/prep jobs.
  12. Push and turn me thinks, or the whole black panel pops out THEN you can get to the hex nut behind
  13. It’s a step by step process with the FSM or EFI bible that @Zed Headhas mentioned. You will probably find one or more connections faulty. Check each one and record your findings. Jumping to conclusions will put you in a tail spin.
  14. I like to say "thou shalt not covet your neighbors donkey" Don't ask to borrow my weedeater you cheapskate Southern Baptist.
  15. Thanks for the reply's. This post was from awhile ago. The issue was the brake booster hose had a leak it has since been repaired. Thanks Again everyone
  16. check it (resistance) at the ECU connector, that will verify the harness connections. IIRC its pin 13 to ground, but check your fsm to be sure.
  17. There’s that ‘thou shalt not covet wife and good’s’ thing, but I’m hoping it doesn’t cover car parts, cuz I have a real covet worked up over here! Great find! Congrats

  20. Well I have a forum thread for you! https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/18677-glovebox-inscriptions-on-s30zs/ A couple of the images look broken (I'll fix those later) but if you click on them the image should load (it's just the thumbnail that is broken). It also wasn't just the glove boxes, but original radio's also got markings!
  21. any time you have a cold running issue that goes away at warm up you need to check the water temp sensor resistance while the engine is cold AT THE 35 PIN CONNECTOR. read the fsm on what you should see. perhaps you have already done this.
