  1. That's not stacked - that's the one spring broken into 3 pieces - the lower portion has a plastic coating EDIT - I've used helper springs with coil over setups - this isn't that, it's a single progressive rate spring
  2. I think the seller added more photos of the underneath after you read it. It could be a very nice driver for sure but it really needs to go down to the shell and have proper floor pans installed to get rid of those "custom" pans. At 210,000 miles probably a good idea to rebuild the engine and get rid of the Weber down drafts, if the price doesn't climb too much more I might bid on it myself, it's only 700 miles from me.
  3. Whatever particular mods you end up making on your car, can you please take pics of them and post them in this thread? There are lots of different combos when mix and matching and pics would help the next guy reading this thread. Thanks
  4. I finally got around to doing something with this. I dropped by my local Z mechanic last week to see what pro tips he may have and it was well worth the stop. Super simple fix using something everyone has in their garage (I was obviously over complicating it by seeking a pipe expander). He took a socket that was just barely too big and hammered it in the end to expand it ever so slightly, this also had the added benefit or making the tube perfectly round again (not sure if it was already or not). Super simple fix!! I installed it today and the install was just as I would have expected, a nice tight compression fit...tapped it in gently with a hammer. All is good. 🙂 Hope that this helps someone else in the future.
  5. I had another look at the photo's. Guess I missed those the first time through. Upon closer inspection, I also noticed the poor fitment of the rear quarter patch panel. The paint job and interior look pretty decent though.
  6. I'd be surprised if they're not the same basic structure but with different trim for manual versus auto.
  7. What is going on in this picture? It's not obvious (to me).
  8. @Zed Head you've done great. Very patient, very tenacious!
