  1. The rack orignally came with a small plastic grease reservoir on the top right side between the mounting bushing and the tie rod covering. Most have broken off by now leaving the neck of the reservoir stuck in the rack tube. Extract the plastic remnant and install a Zerk fitting to grease the rack.
  2. Because both of the wires coming out of that alternator case are yellow... with no other color stripes, they do not look factory to me. Neither do the connectors which appear to have been spliced into the wires on the harness. I suspect some wiring modifications were made.
  3. Great topic, great read, lots of stuff I am happy to learn about. Thanks fellow Canucks. “En Grand VItesse Avec La Datsun 240-Z” Magnifique!
  4. Here are a couple pics of mine with the OE connectors.
  5. Glad to see Paul Taylor finally getting some recognition, it was his 240. New owner should get in touch w/me for a lot more info than indicated
  6. Here is my collection of Canadian printed brochures, one is in French. These were included with my recent purchase of HLS30-00957. 1970 Printed in Canada (English) 1970 Printed in Canada (French) Poster Size 1972 Printed in Canada (English) 1973 Printed in Canada (English)
  7. I hope those are originals, but watch out.. in or around 2000 there where an awful lot of those fore sale.. and these days they can make them fake-old.. Now guys, stop/don't start a long conversation about the authenticity, because we'll never know for sure. (Maybe someone had or found a stash.) BTW, have you heard, today this? On german radio i heard that there was someone that sold fake oldtimers just by making a copy and sell all over the world making 100's of millions !!! WOW !!! (I saw also a YT video about a fake mercedes 300sl one white and one red with same chassisnumbers!) If you have a piece of bulkhead with the chassisnumber you CAN make the car legal for as far i know..
  8. Some people buy their cars to drive and enjoy. If you've been doing collector cars for years you might just see "restoration potential". There are other types out there! But...this person might not be one of them. Unless he has six other cars that he drives and enjoys. Who knows. "Sep 26 at 11:04 AM veyagus This author's likes: 1 Good run.. Ontarioglen. Almost had me give up. Thanks Skbarsdale. IT will be the 7th in my collection."
  9. $10,500 is pretty cheap. The seller admits he didn't know squat about the car so it was a gamble. I got mine from the same type guy but for $2,000. Back in the good old days, 2015.
  10. I agree in your opinion about the market being depressed, it applies to the majority of the classic car market. The dip in prices is one of the reasons that I recently purchased number 957.
  11. I think this one is likely an original. It has a Dutch dealer stamp and the condition is very good but not pristine. You are right that it is nice to have, either way. Here are pics of both sides.
