  1. Change the fuel filter too. Sure feels like fuel delivery to me. Plugged lines, plugged filter, pump going bad. Also check the dizzy hasn’t come loose or the vacuum hose to it hasn’t fallen off.
  2. It sounds like the car is going lean. Assuming you have the stock fuel injection, check the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator. It may be rotten. If not, the FPR could be on the way out. Having a fuel pressure gauge might give you good info.
  3. First step IMHO install a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and fuel rail. Inexpensive and will give you an idea real time of what’s going on.
  4. I am sure I will build a motor at some point and may go turbo at some point. It will probably have 300-350HP at some point in the future. We have some great mountain roads near us and the stock brakes don't like those long twisty downhill sections. They would always get hot and smell. These should stay nice and cool no matter how hard I push! 😉
  5. You can run a gauge to your windshield wiper under a partially closed hood. Zip-tie the hose and gauge to the wiper and go for a ride.
  6. Hello, I would like to begin by saying that I truly regret that it has come to this as I genuinely care about our products and I spend a lot of time on each part, the doors themselves took 3 years from concept to production and all of our products are tested on our own cars on site. We have a complete display car with all of our parts installed, it was at ZCON this year. Firstly, the gap near the fender, when installing any body panel, the connected panels may need to be adjusted as well. The parts work in unison and you cannot just change one and not adjust the other one. I would also like to point out that from this picture, it looks like a fair amount of body filler was used on the fender, this would definitely effect the gap because the fender would be thicker. From the pictures that were given, the hinge did not look like it would line up correctly, I took responsibility for this and delivered a new unit that you were able to test and confirm. I do not think it is fair to say that there was no QC on the doors or make comments on the manufacturing from a sample size of 1 unit. We have sold 33 pairs of doors to date, with zero returned. We have also had these doors installed and finished on cars that have won best in show at ZCON. For full transparency, we have had only 1 other customer issue a complaint about the doors that was later resolved, and not to the severity as is described here. In our dialog I did ask if the factory rubber roller clip was installed, as this piece is crucial in positioning the glass, and I did not receive a response. I also explained that the regulator arm tracks have slotted holes for mounting, so there is adjustment for the glass as well. At no point did I stop communication or give up on trying to solve the issues you were describing, I just explained that a return would not be an option. The statement here "Max doesn’t see it that way but he did offer me a discount on any future purchases:) Isn’t that special." Is entirely incorrect, my actual statement was that I would give you a smaller part of your choosing at no cost to you, not a future discount. I do hope that there is some middle ground we can come to as we would like to be a part of your restoration and earn your business for the future.
  7. I totally agree. Although in my mind it's pretty hard to defend refusing a refund based on the pictures I have posted. Let's be clear I was fine with all of the defects up until I couldn't get the drivers door panel on. I have his door weatherstrips and they fit great. Edit: all of the pictures I posted are from the email chain we have exchanged since the beginning. Also I'm posting this as a cautionary tale as opposed to shaming him into giving me a refund. I believe that ship has sailed.
  8. I do like to help solve a problem if I can. @Resurrected Classics should have a chance to respond. They joined the site March 2023. They got some positive comments. Let's see what happens. Derek is not your run-of-the-mill car guy, he probably knows what he's talking about and went way above and beyond what most would. No offense intended to the run-of-the-mill guys and gals. Who knows, maybe people should just avoid buying door skins from RC. https://www.classiczcars.com/profile/45015-resurrected-classics/
