triple weber manifold identification
I have a fidanza flywheel and ACT street clutch, and Extreme pressure plate on my 98 240sx(ka24de), and it is awesome. I can catch 4th gear pretty easily. I don't mind the slightly harder pedal. Climbing ladders every day helps I guess. What brand cam would you recommend?

triple weber manifold identification
I looked on the spec sheet for the cam that was in the car, it was .274 lift. What kind of power would this setup put out? I've never driven a car with webers, or raced any with my 240sx. This is my first car that isn't FI, so I'm trying to learn all I can about the weber setup, so I can build a good running motor. I appreciate your time spent helping me out. THANKS

My setup I'm planning is: F-54 block,n-47 head, Weber40's, Motorsport header, 2 3/4" full exhaust, magnaflow muffler,ACT streetdisc,Extreme pressureplate,Fidanza flywheel,MSD 6al,carter fuel pump.I have most of the parts except the clutch, and the fuel pump. Is there anything else you would recommend for this setup?

triple weber manifold identification
Thanks for the help guys. When I get it all set up I'll add some pictures to my gallery, might be a while yet. I made the fuel line with earl's fittings, I'm going to be taking the motor out and putting the N-47 head off the origional motor on the F-54 block off of my parts car, with the flat top pistons. The carb setup came with the weber book, which had the specs of the cam the owner had on the car it came off of, so I'm going to get a motorsport stage two cam kit . I can't wait to see how it runs, and sounds. I've never heard a car with triples before, but I heard they sound good.

triple weber manifold identification
The carbs I have are Weber 40 dcoe 151 series. These were on the manifold when I bought it. The setup was on a running 280z owned by a friend of whom I bought them from. According to him, the guy was on a back road in PA, and hit a hump going 130, and flipped the z on it's roof in a corn field. The driver's buddy got hurt pretty bad, and the driver went to jail, so he sold the kit to this guy cheap. I got the setup for $200, everything is in good shape except the linkage.

triple weber manifold identification
I measured the carb side of the manifold and the openings are about 42mm. The linkage rod measures 3/8" , and the two holes where the linkage goes through are 1/2". There were plastic bushings that made the linkage tight and acted as a bearing, but they were cracked. Do you know any place where I can get parts like this? THANKS

My manifold doesn't have a name stamped on it, just the #0030 on the bottom. I'll try to post pictures as soon as I figure out how. THANKS

triple weber manifold identification
I bought a triple weber setup locally off of a wrecked 280z,and the linkage rod is bent up, and I think two plastic bushings are missing that keep the linkage tight. I was trying to find out what type of manifold it is so I can get new linkage parts. On the bottom ,there is the number 0030 stamped into the casting. Also , instead of having the bolt type linkage guides, it has two uprights cast into the aluminum. Any help would be appreciated.

Adding T-tops on non t-top 280zx
I was wondering if anyone tried putting t-tops on a 280zx that doesn't have them origionally. I noticed on my 1979 280zx that the openings are stamped into the roof under the headliner. Would it be better to cut the holes out, or cut the whole roof off and put the whole t-top roof on? I have a parts car with all the interior parts I would need. Any info would be appreciated. THANKS

New to site
I live near Johnstown, PA. I am working on a 79 280zx, changing from FI to triple webers , and planning to rebuild the whole motor soon. I also have a 95 and a 98 240sx that I've been tuning for a few years now.

block and head selection triple webers
I found a setup off of a wrecked vehicle locally, my uncle knew the guy, and i got the whole setup for $200.00. I have two late model 240sx's and I thought I'd try something different. I never messed with carbs before, so i figured I'd learn something new. I'm open to suggestions on what types of setups I can use with the parts, I have. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT, TIM

Is 10.5 :1 too high for my setup for the street, or will it work ok? THANKS, TIM

block and head selection triple webers
I have a 79 280zx, which has a N-42 block and N-47 head, fuel injected,5-speed . I also have two parts cars, both having F-54 blocks and P-79 heads, one's a 5-speed, and one's an auto. My mods I have,or am planning are: Triple weber 40 dcoe setup, Motorsport header, 2.5 in. custom exhaust w/ high flow cat, Magnaflow muffler, Fidanza aluminum flywheel, ACT clutch kit,MSD 6al, Motorsport stage 2 cam kit. Which block, and which head out of the ones I have would be the best to use for my setup using the stock flattop pistons(from the F-54). Also , should I use the '79, or the '82 5-speed transmission? Thanks Tim

msd distributor / ignition
I have a 79 280zx , and am changing from FI to triple weber 40 dcoe's setup. I have a motorsport header, and 2.5 in. custom exhaust system with magnaflow muffler, and am planning the following mods: Fidanza aluminum flywheel, act hdss clutch, motorsport stage 2 cam kit, carter fuel pump. I'm not sure which distributor, and electronic ignition I should buy. I was thinking either mallory or msd, does anyone have any suggestions on which one to buy? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

linkage kits for a triple weber dcoe setup on 280zx.
I am changing from FI to a triple weber setup on my 1979 280zx. I bought this setup from a local guy that got it off of a wrecked 280z, and the linkage was all bent up. Does anyone know where I can get a throttle linkage kit that will work with my fuel injected linkage from the firewall? I'm not sure what type of manifold I have, but it has two uprights built in to the cast manifold, not the drilled and tapped type you see on e-bay.The linkage rod looks like about 3/8 " thick. Any help would be appreciated.

Throttle linkage conversion fuel injection to triple webers 280zx
I was wondering what linkage parts I need to change to make a triple weber setup work in my fuel injected 1979 280zx. I measured the approximate distance between the head mating surface and the center of the 2 linkages, and the weber linkage is about 2" closer to the head than the F.I. linkage? Would I have to swap the linkage out of an early Z, or can I get a whole kit to convert the linkage? I am not sure what intake manifold type I have, but the manifold has two uprights for the linkage cast into the manifold, not like the ones seen on ebay that have bolts tapped into the manifold. Is there a different manifold that would bring the linkage closer to the stock zx linkage location, or linkage parts available for this?
