  1. Ones in Motorsport and "British" catalogues go for over $100. Ones on Ebay are rediculously cheap even after shipping. Is quality or design that much different on Ebay ones? Would appreciate any comments on experiences with either Motorsport, etc. or the Ebay ones. Thanks guys, Mark
  2. Like Clint Eastwood said: "A man's got to know his limitations." Well, that cracked speaker in the center of my dash on my 280ZX is staying put. Cannot get at it without pulling most of the dash out. After two attempts decided it's not worth it so am looking for somewhere to relocate a new left speaker to. Anyone who has done this? Any suggestions gentlemen? Mark

Will do a search to see who has them in this area, possibly UAP. Did you keep your original harness or upgrade? Mark

I saw that thread but if I read it correctly, he's only doing it for 240's, mine is a 280ZX. Mark

For some time now, I have had a dim driver side headlight on my 83 280ZX non turbo coupe. Checked fuses, contacts at the headlight, replaced headlight, checked all the other spots in the harness I could find for a bad ground. Switched headlight relays around (which fixed my "no high beams problem") Looks like I need to replace my water pump, so when I pull the rad will be able to get at a final bit of harness that runs under the rad (I think). If I still can't track it down, thinking of going to these Euro Crystal Clear headlights Victoria British sells and add their heavy duty headlight harness that draws power directly from the battery as opposed to going through the light switch first. What do you guys think, will this fix my problem? Mark
  6. Thanks, I'll make sure I use the socket extension. Mark
  7. Much appreciated, have got a lot of stuff to get done on the car before the end of April and this is one of the more important things. Thanks, Mark
  8. Last summer started getting vibration in the rear end of my 83 280ZX non turbo coupe when car under load. Local Nissan dealer replaced one u joint and it helped quite a bit, but not completely. (Didn't help my wallet by the time I paid labor plus diagnostic time). So, am going to put in four fresh ones. Any tips on best way to do this, for instance, when I put the car up on frame jacks do I need to support the rear wheels, etc? Mark
  9. Anybody have any tips on the easiest way to get the speaker in the middle of the dash out of an 83 280ZX? All comments greatly appreciated it. Mark
  10. Used to live in Toronto but not sure where Osgood is? What Z car do you have? Mark
  11. Assume FSM means factory service manual? If so, yes, bought one when I picked up the car in 83. Mark
  12. Hi, Just discovered your forum with great expectations. It's a typical cold, grey Nova Scotia day outside but in my warm, heated garage sits my 83 280ZX. Currently the whole interior is out and I'm repairing rust damage to the floor. (First coat of Rust Bullet just went on). In my kitchen, behind a cupboard door is a very long list of things I need to do over the winter. Hopefully, you people will be able to give me good advice on how to solve problems as I go along and possibly I might be able to contribute some information too. Mark
