Nice deal check the car for rust. Are you planning on using the car as a daily driver?
  2. If she hasn't yet she will now! starts playing immigrant song then lemon song
  3. Mine is RLS30-012443 build date 11/73' (early) emerald green. Originally purchased in Oregon moved to California then Arizona now here on the East coast. Funny thing the original owner has the same last name as me. Back into the family!:surprised

Nice deal Stephen now thats was a true Black Friday deal. .
  5. Alright so I connected the hoses in the right places and when I attempted to start it. The rear float bowl hose that I attached to the rear nipple is leaking fuel and wont stop whenever I turn the car on dont want to start for the fear of a flash so should I just let it leak until it stops? or is there something terribly wrong? I followed the lines and couldnt find the Filter so Imma have to put on on.
  6. Yea the PO didnt know what the heck he was doin period.:tapemouth Thanks guys.
  7. Thanks so much so far guys, seriously. The only problem is I cant find the fuel filter on my Z its been moved I believe because looking at other Zs its not on the wall near the engine bay lamp. Also I have 2 oil filters which I find very strange one is the original filter (85A) the other is a huge after market with a gauge attached . Heres a fairly old picture, but the filters are the same right now I have blue NGK plugs and Wires.
  8. Well Today since I wasn't working or busy I decided to do a little maintenance and fire up the Z. But first I went to Autozone to pick up a fuel filter because my father let me know I needed one. luckily they had (one) in stock well I got back home and attempted to at least start her up and no luck. I sprayed a bit of starting fluid to help and all I got was a flicker no full run. So I kept trying for the past 1hr and no luck The battery is hooked up the plugs are in the right position because its been started before so whats the problem? While trying to figure out why she wont start I was looking at the carbs and the pictures from the Haynes manual of the engine and something doesn't seem right. There are two hoses that do not hook to anything. In the picture the hoses hook to the filter box, but since the car did start up at once I'm not sure if this is set up right or not maybe someone could fill me in. BTW: The hoses did leak fuel once before in an attempt to start a while back, but did not today. And I never got a chance to install the Fuel filter.

Glad to see the Z back to its rightful owner.
  10. Yea this is America and you can do the same any any other country I'm sure but I guess I should sell my Z which I paid $2500 for for $25000 business huh no that just BS. And I'm not here to start a war zone so whatever response you have to make on this response I'm not gonna read it.
  11. Seems like he just cleaned it up a bit to me. This is what happens when a Z gets into the hands of the wrong kind of collector ( American muscle in his garage). I wonder what he would say if i were to send him a question with that link? Just a little rant from a fellow 260z owner.
  12. Is this not the same car ?????? sold for $9,000 its silver its an automatic and it has the same hubcaps and get this it has 19,270miles the Z in the auction has 19,370 hmmm drove it 100miles and now trying to make $30,000 profit http://www.classyauto.com/v/used/Datsun+260Z/32433 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsu...spagenameZWDVW
  13. Sorry, Blake I haven't been up here in over a month I believe! I've had surgery and just been busy with senior in High school. But anyway it is an amazing car just too over priced heck I could care less about the automatic tranny with 19,000 miles.

well to put my word in I think the reason Escape was spelled "esckaped"where ever you saw that is because of gangs. To keep from a conflict growing I'm just gonna say if your in a certain gang you have to put a "k" behind any word with a "C" in it
  15. Not the most desired Z but sure as heck is in excellent shape Over priced though http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-nissan-260z-1974-datsun-260-z-show-room-new-19-000-miles-240z-280z_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ019QQitemZ290171677073QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  16. Jmortensen, I can say the same for putting a small block in a Z- lazy front heavy garbage. In my opinion

Old corolla for reference: only difference it has a clear coat on the old one

Well, guys I have found a new daily driver and well its alot like my old corolla it gets good gas mileage it drives great and is inexpensive to maintain. Its very similar to my other Corolla in the fact that I have purchased another one same exact color year and trim CE except this this one only has 19,487 miles on it!!! Its an excellent investment I plan on selling in later on down the line and get my money back its like driving for free haha the car is like new the interior is like from the lot the exterior is like from the lot NO scratches NO dents. The best thing is that I can use all parts I purchased prior to reapir my old corolla which I got into an accident, like the factory spoiler and new headlights. Here's the picks I know the Toyota corolla isnt that exciting of a car at all as far as looks and performance but its MPG and low maintenance is GREAT for a daily driver in my opinion especially when it has 19 thousand miles and a great trade in value if I ever decide to sell. . I'll still get all the blue book value for her!

A "turbo wheel" are basically the wheels from the 81-83 (I think those are the years) 280zx turbo. The wheels shown on Dankehoe1's 240z are from a 280zx Turbo.
  22. No one thinks about the Ev-1 excellent example of a replacement source to fossil fuels to bad about what happened to the car. I think if there were any left that it should also be a classic.

Of course not I'm still looking for a daily driver tho... I need one before school start or else Imma have to sell the Z because I won't have a job. I only have $1500 to spend I know its like having no money, but I need something.. I've found 3 choices so far a 1993 mitsubishi diamante $1300, a 1995 Mazda Millenia fully loaded but it has very high miles 192k for $1100 looks very nice though. and a 93 Nissan altima $1400 134k miles very good condition. Does anyone know of any good daily drivers in my area around $1500 or less I'm not looking for bells and wistles and I'd prefer to steer from honda civics.
