personally, i would not pay that much for a car that was not running in the first place. but with the mileage you will definitely pay more than average. do you have any pic for everyone to see and make a good judgement call?
  6. Just checking if anyone has ever used the floor pan & trunk restoration kit from the MSA catalog. I have a couple small holes in the passenger side and want to get some opinions before dropping the $120.00.
  7. Very nice. I really like the Wheels.
  8. I just recently made my own t-shirt using printable transfer paper just a couple weeks ago. i took the red/white/blue z logo with not lettering on the front, and the big full logo on the back. it looks just like the example except mine is a grey shirt. As for the hat, I suggest that it be a "collegiate" style, rather than the tall baseball style.

I just bought the cd and it is well worth the price. Besides the parts microfiche there is a neat Z theme for your desktop and some clips of former 300ZX commericals. I suggest buying one. It supports the club as well.
  10. What about a cool calander every year. Using pics of club member's cars. I think it would sort of a competition to get one's car into the calander. We could vote and the top 12 get in the calander.
  11. Does anyone know if there are any rallys or part swap meets in or near oklahoma coming up? It seems all the meets and shows are in California or on the East Coast. Would anyone have an interest in setting one up? I live in stillwater and the Oklahoma Z club just met here las month. I could not attend unfortunately. I'm sure a big park in Oklahoma City or Tulsa would be cool or even here in Stillwater, which is located centrally in the state. So...IS ANYONE WITH ME!!
  12. Hey everyone, I just listed 4 wheel covers from my 1976 280z on ebay. the starting bid is $19.99. Here's the Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1818850178&r=0&t=0 Good Luck!
  13. Here's my little adendum to the topic. I'm 30 years old and live in Stillwater, OK with my wife of nearly 8 years. No children. I just purchased a 1976 280Z and it will definitely take up much of my weekends to come. I first became familiar with the Z line back in 1991 when i purchased a 1985 300zx turbo that totaled by some guy driving wrecklessly in a parking lot. In 1997 I bought my wife a 240sx and just recently sold it for a Surburban (she is an antique dealer and needed the hauling ability). In 1999 I bought a 1991 300zx TT and loved it until i got caught in a flash flood and hydrolocked the engine. Before i got my vintage Z, i was more fond of the 300xz, but I am beginning to come around. I am visiting this site several times a day to check the technical posts to help me learn a lot more about the inner-workings of my Z. Thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far.
  14. I am the gold rim buyer. I thought the car looked familiar. I just bought a 76 from a guy in altus for $1000. More my price range. needs a lot of work though.
  15. timberwolf: did you get your z in Stillwater? I live in stillwater and i recently bought some rims from a guy who was selling a 280 very similar to yours? he he just sold it and thought it looked awful familiar. I wanted to buy it a couple months ago, but had a much smaller budget.
  16. Looking for a replacement set of center caps for a set of old rims i bought. the caps are 3 5/16" at their base and are black in color. the inside of the cap reads "Western Wheel P/N 99-2583". I could use an entire set but if someone has just one or two. i will be happy to take them off your hands for the right price. If someone knows if i can use another brand and where to them i would do that too. thanks!!

Now i'm looking for a rear deck lid for 76 280 z. not listed in the new MSA. I can pay with paypal or money order too. just let me know shipping to zip 74074. thanks!! By the way, i'm new to the Vintage Z scene (I have owned an 85 turbo and a 91 NA.) Now I see what everyone is so excited about when they get the new MSA catalog. I love It, but my credit card won't.
  18. does anyone have a copy of the nissan z video by the history channel they want to sell. the website is $25. a little steep for a vhs copy.
  19. Thanks! just ordered one from them only $12.
  20. Looking for a hood latch for my 76. do not need the latch guide. the male portion of the atcual latch is worn causing my hood to pop up on ocassion. thanks!

Is it possible or not to switch the steering wheeel in my 76 280z for a wooden one from a 240. I've seen several on sale on ebay and I really like the look of the wood. Just want to know if will work. Some may consider this taboo. Thanks!

Looking for a reasonably priced rear bumper for my 1976 280z. i believe a 75 or 76 will work. does not have to be mint but no rust. thanks!!
  24. Thanks any way. If found a 1976 in Altus, OK. $1200 running strong, No rust and all it needs is new paint, rear bumper, carpet and seats. After owning 85 300zxt, a 91 300TT, 90 240sx, it seems vintage is the only way to go!!
