all lights work on my car besides the normal tail lights. the brake lights and signals work and reverse light. but the tail lights wont come on when i turn on the lights. the fuses are good and i changed both the bulbs and they still wont light up. anyone know where i can check next please let me know. thanks

82 280zx turbo... runs fine... new alternator and all new fuel system components along with cap and rotor, plugs and wires. car starts up good and idles fine in park. u can rev the engine and everything it all sounds nice. then u put it into drive and give it some gas, it moves boggingly a few feet then dies. car starts right back up and is accompanied by a squeeling noise when u step on the gas....sounds like alternator belt. the squeeling doesnt go away till u put it in drive, give it some gas, and the car instantly dies. ive heard this could be the transmission modulator.... anyone had a problem like this??? i really need help

you can rev the engine in park just fine and it goes into drive and reverse just fine.. but once u give it gas to try to make it move, it will take off a little but then it dies as if it was running outta gas. it starts right back up but same problem keeps happening

i have an 82 datsun 280zx turbo. car runs fine when in park... everything workds perfect. when u put it into drive and then give it gas to take off, the car loses power and dies. it starts right back up tho. car has new fuel pump, fuel filter, clean tank, new alternator, cap and rotor, plugs and plug wires. anyone had a problem like this before or have a solution cuz im stumped thanks any input would be appreciated

I have been restoring this 1982 Datsun 280zx turbo for several months.... new cap and rotor, plugs and plug wires, oil change, fuel filter, fuel pump, and cleaned out gas tank. breaks are good too we just put in a new master cylinder. new alternator as well the car starts up just fine. You can sit in it after u start it up and rev the engine as you please, everything sounds good. its an automatic.. it goes into drive and reverse just fine... trannys all good and wut not. after u put it into drive and accelerate, the car starts to take off but give it a little more gas and u hear a belt squeeling up front. the car then loses power and dies on you. it starts right back up, but when u try to accelerate and move the car dies on you. i know the belt squeeling isnt the alternator belt becuz we changed the alternator and got that belt good and tight. i also noticed that the AC belt which runs on pullys between the alternator belts was missing. so would that missing AC belt have anything to do with the car not wanting to accelerate? would that be the cause of that squeeling noise that starts to happen when u try to acclerate? or would this be something completley different? if anyone knows anything about this kinda problem please let me know. i cant figure it out and i need to hear it from someone who has had a problem like this before. thanks
