  1. I'm hoping to finally make it up this year. Not exactly sure what I would take if I do go. Caravan would be cool if possible. Mark

The difference in width would have little effect. You need to check the offset/backspace. That will be more important. Mark
  3. Check eBay. There was a guy on there selling replacement stickers, but it was a while ago. This is what they look like. Mark
  4. Sorry, the "I just went and looked" part had me thinking YOU went and saw it. I am not a Hybridz member. Anyone in the states have one? :classic: Mark
  5. The shipping from OZ kinda kills it. Sent an email. Thanks for the possible lead. Mark
  6. Looking for an automatic flywheel/flexplate for a L series engine. Needs to be 6 bolt flange. PM me your asking price including shipping to 95023. Thanks, Mark

Uh, yeah. Stay away from Omni clear. Paint seems OK, but the clear sucks, or at least it did as of 5 years ago. Started flaking off after 2 years. Now it's almost completely gone. Big waste of money. (this was on a proffesionally painted Chevy PU, FWIW) Mark
  8. If you have any other issues, these guys are a stones throw from me, if the address is correct. I would be happy to stop by and see what's up if needed, or pick up what you ordered and send it to you. Can't stand flaky business practice. Mark.
  9. I have 205/60-14 tires on my 14x6.5 +9. I think they fit nice, but judge for yourself. Mark

Got some "new" wheels and tires for the Z recently and just got around to installing them today. I think they look great. They are 14x6.5 Racing Hart (Hayashi) wheels with 205/60-14 tires. What do you think? Mark
  11. Those are not SSR wheels. They are Works (or work knockoffs) and not all that rare, especially considering you can still buy that model wheel new. Mark

There is a monthly old school import meet the last thursday of every month at the starbucks on the corner of El Camino and Lawrence Expy. Usually at least a couple Z's there. Keep an eye on Craigslist, as the organizer usually posts up a notice there. Mark

Has anyone tried a product called Yield? Supposedly this is industrial strength stuff and works great, but is like $15 a can or so. Mark

Have you ever looked at trying to get parts for the same vintage Toyota/Honda/Mazda/Mitsu? You want to talk disappointing? We can at least still get parts for the Datsuns, from the dealer no less! I would almost kill to have the same disappointing parts availability for the other Japanese brands. I'm sure others that have tried to or are restoring one of the "others" know what I speak of. Mark
  15. A sub-forum would be cool. I'm not sure how much traffic it would get. Most Roadster owners I recognize here do the Roadster talk on 311s.org. Mark
  16. That and many more marquees. I have quite the diversified "collection". You're chris 66 over there? That they are! It does seem as though the nice examples can fetch good money if the seller is patient, well, at least before our economic condition. Stuff adds up fast when a set of ball joints runs $1000. I don't want to add up what is invested in mine, and I did everything except interior, chrome and basic engine assembly. Everything else is garage built, and I'm proud of that. Here are a couple pics. Something "special" under the bonnet. Click on the pics to see the buildup in my album. Mark
  17. That car will take a lot of work to put back together, especially the rear rocker area. There are 3 different sections in there that all look rotten. You would be better off starting off with a good, minimal rust runner. I know California is a ways away, but you can get nice drivers out here for 3-5k. add in $700 or so for shipping and you would come out way ahead. Parts for these, while readily available, are NOT CHEAP! Check out vendors like Rallye or Datsunparts to get an idea on prices. You will find it's not cheap to restore one of these, especially if parts are missing. Mark
  18. Solvang is on the same weekend. Apr. 25 to be exact. I usually try to rotate between the two, but since this is the first Solvang show I actually have a Roadster to show (6 year restoration), that's where I'm going to be this year. I may try and bring the Z to Canby. Mark
  19. Can't confirm if it's original or not but my 9/72 with 95k original has an Atsugi pump and has a code of U11F. Mark

I'll be there with my recently restored turbo powered Roadster (no, not SR20 or KA) and yellow Colt wagon. Maybe next year with the Z. Mark
  21. Seems to be a fair price if it includes assembly. Couple of clarifications, deck block- not dock balleys is oil galleys Is tuning kit meant to be timing kit? Mark
  22. If you do go Rebello, I can vouch for their quality/integrity. Dave is a straight up guy and will work with you to get you what you want and not "oversell" on stuff you may not need for the given application. Plus you can talk to him (when he's not at the races) I'm sure there are some great builders on the east coast just as good.
  23. Well, I'm not sure if I fall into the "genx" class, but I can say I'm 38 years young and my first cars were Datsun of some sort (510/Truck/1200/etc.) Reason? Sure I wanted a nice big block Charger or tricked out Camaro but simply could not afford one when I was of driving age. What could I afford? The clapped out, 10th owner Datsuns. Sure they were kinda beat up but all ran very good, parts were cheap and were stone ax reliable. Lots of good times were had in these "beaters". I have since been able to purchase some of those muscle cars I wanted in my youth but you know what, I enjoy the imports I have so much more. And it probably does have a lot to do with growing up with these types of cars. I really believe you will start to see the rise in value of all late 60's- early 70's Japanese cars as guys my age start to get to the point in their life that they can relive their youth (in a sense) and build up the car they had as a teenager in the fashion they would have wanted to then, but couldn't afford. Just my thought. Mark

Maybe an old cartech unit? http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2248400090065431685EcEtGs Note: Not my pics. Posted by the album owner on 311s.org Mark
  25. Is the firing order correct?
