Im looking for a Z to make a dragster out of. Any Z Any year. Definately not looking for a good driver, would hate to tear up a decent car. If anyone knows of one around the Ohio area, please let me know. Im willing to travel to get it, just dont want to have to go across the country for it.

has this car been fixed up or if its completely gone now?

i mean i would do it..but then again im also going to be doing this to a 280zx, only bc if was my fiances uncles car and that is all they have to remember him by now...

maybe you could just send them to me to put on the car and ill just use them til u decide...

get the wiring and ecu from the car as well, to make the install alot easier. also you will have to run a return line to the fuel tank as well.

heck for the 290 price, isnt there anyone who makes new tanks anymore? that would be alot cheaper i would think.

i know that the radiator shop by me does tanks for 60 or 65 bucks. and it usually only takes them a day or two to get it done.

what type of battery would be a good one to get? should i just spend the extra now and get an optima battery or not?

what are some of the things that should have been done as normal maintence and changed. i know that they really just changed the oil regularly and that was about it.

thanks for the info on the plugs, ill definately get those. ill just have to see if i can see anything that would have caused it to stop running like loose connections and such.

OK, im getting an '83 280zx turbo and the car has sat for the past 10 years or so. The reason it was parked was because it had stopped running and they never got it fixed. So basically I am wondering where should i start and what should I do? I have always been around cars in the past and now, just never had a Datsun, or any turbo car in that matter. thanks, ill bid on it anyway...i just would like to get a cd cuz i like to do the things on the computer and i always have it with me when im working on the car...im going to also get a fsm for it on cd as well...

thanks, im going to buy the haynes manual seems like it will be pretty good and not cost much at all...im not sure if there is even a microfiche cd that exists for the 83zx turbo or not...

have you found a microfiche cd? im getting a 1983 280zx turbo and would like to get a microfiche for it... really dont want to spend $70 for it from Courtesy

ya i completely understand that...the car would in no way be a daily driver just something to drive on the weekend when its nice out...or ill just get a 240 or 280 and dump alot of money into it and make it one heck of a car...i just hope that im able to find something as now i have sold my Opel and would like to now find a Z...
