Steve or others, What about the wheels? It looks like this car has a metal trim "stripe" down the side as well. Is this stock?

Two Low-VIN 1970 240Zs on Ebay
Another newbie type question. Why does this car have the hood vents? I do not see other '70 Z's with these. Is this a hood from another vehicle of a later year? James

Two Low-VIN 1970 240Zs on Ebay
Hello Guys, I am in GA and this latest sub 5000 serial number car is only 1 hour away. I am iterested in getting my first Z and have only been researching for a week or so. My questions are what is this car worth? The seats are torn, I do not know about the dash, the wheels look all wrong, needs paint of course. The good thing about it is that the numbers match. Comes with a '74 "Datsun" of some sort in some condition. Also, they do not know the actual mileage, how can I confirm the real miles of the car? It is being sold by a lady for a friend of hers, whose brother may or may not have the title that shows the mileage. So, are the seats a major deal? What about the non-stock wheels?

Production Numbers Per Color?
Arne, Thanks, well any guess at all? You guys have been around this and seen a lot of cars. Just curious. I really like the Safari Gold but have only seen a few of these. I wonder if this was the least produced color?

What do Original 240Z Wheels Look Like?
The mags that Fun-In-My-Z has shown look totally different than the ones that 26th-Z has pictured. Are the black ones what you are referring to as the "factory steel" and the Fun-In-My-Z just a dealer installed option? Thanks, James

What do Original 240Z Wheels Look Like?
I have tried to search for original 240Z wheels to get an idea of what they look like. I have not really found any information that lists this with pictures, names or descriptions. I have seen some of the cars that have hubcaps with a D in them and others with what looks like a four spoke wheel (no hubcaps). What was standard (or at least a factory upgrade) on a '70 240Z? Did it change for '71 or '72? If I buy a '70 - '71 car that does not have the original wheels, can these be purchased? If so, what do they usually cost? Thanks, James

Another "All Original" Z car on ebay
So everyone, what would this car be worth if it did not have the fender flares, or the black stripe? If everything else he says were true and the car has that low of miles with matching #'s? James

Another "All Original" Z car on ebay
Montoya, By members I assume you are talking about people that are on this forum. What do you suggest to be the best way to getthis information? I did a search and found a Z car club of GA. I just missed their monthly meeting. Thanks for the pic. James

Another "All Original" Z car on ebay
Montoya Fan, I got that idea from what I assume is a misread of this.... "Q: With reference to the early 1970 Z cars, were the Rocker Panels the same color as the car or were they black. If so, how wide was the black strip? A: - The entire car was one color - and one color only. That does not mean that all cars had only one type of paint on them. For example - in 1970 the only "Metalic"paint was Silver... however Nissan did not use "metalic" paint under the hood, in the door jam's, nor in the jam of the deck lids... They only applied the "Metalic" Silver to the exterior surfaces of the car body after it was assembled. Gold, Orange, Yellow, White, Red and Blue in 1970, were all non-Metalic colors. - If you see blacked out rockers in pictures - that was a popular thing to do, at that time, after the cars were sold. Also you may see black "racing stripes" on the sides of the 240Z's in some pictures. That was a dealer installed "option". The strip kits came in Black, White and Gold - they said "240Z" on them too. " I quess I didn't read it correctly the first time. I am in GA and would like to have a '70. I am looking for a good clean car, not a show piece but something I can drive occasionally and enjoy. I really do not want to go through the trouble of restoring one of these cars. That is why I liked the thought of this vehicle on e-bay. The dash and interior seem to be good. To me the rust is the biggest unkown. I am sure there is more than shown. Maybe too much to make it a good buy at the 4-5K the car will probably sell for at auction. Thanks, James

Another "All Original" Z car on ebay
Hello Guys, I just signed up for this forum. I am interested to know what everyone finds so offensive about this car? I realize most of you do not like the rear fender flares which is understandable. It is the original color and I believe the stripes were factory options. You guys have been around this for longer than I have so tell me what this car is worth? The interior looks to be in good condition and it has what I would think are low miles. Some have mentioned the wheels not being stock. What did the original wheels look like? As you can see it is at 3600 already with several days left. What do you think it will go for? Anywhere to get a (acurate) list of values for these cars that considers year, condition, etc.? I am especially interested in the '70 Z. Thanks, James
